Right. Anything could happen, but Isaiah is the only one I'm not really confident about returning. Some people seem to assume everyone is gone until they specifically state otherwise.

Duke has slow played this offseason. Not sure why since most of the stuff was expected. Shoot Jon did every video in the same shirt. It still doesn’t explain why Henderson and Ament went elsewhere. I really hope they have something lined up because it doesn’t make sense to me right now.
I agree but we also don’t know who’s pulling out the draft either . I didn’t think about this but what if the portal players Duke is looking at announced to test the draft process as well. Henderson leaving opens up another spot for an upperclassmen guard but all I want is to hear is Big Pat , Brown and Evans are for sure back .

We have had only 2 rotation guys back 2 of the last 3 years, so you can't really fault people for thinking this could happen again. We should get 4 or 5 back, but you never know. The portal closes this week, but you could have a guy or two leave if a big transfer is announced.
Yup. I think the recent moves clearly paint a clear picture Evan’s will be back which is huge, and no reason to think Pat and Brown won’t stay. Still, we lost Henderson out of no where and Ament was trending towards us and had a quick change of heart. Have to think losing both highly regarded recruits like that so quick says something is cooking.
I think Jon has to pull in RJ Luis, Watkins or Stojakovic. Just have this feeling a big time transfer is coming with all the recent moves.
It appears the Duke plan is announce who is leaving first, other than Foster. So Mal tomorrow. Not sure why it didn't happen last week, but I guess we need to be patient. My wish list is Coward and then the Cal kid. Evans should be back but we will find out this week. Evans is a guy who needs to make an announcement due to all the portal rumors.
He wants to be the top dog, but doesn’t think he will at Duke due to who’s all going to be on the roster?
I may be off but I feel like he might get buried behind khamenia. His shooting splits in hs were not great, plays tough tho
Yes but Duke is still going to need players that can create off the dribble . So far Foster is the only one who can halfway do it and get to the basket. Evans and Harris need to work on it this off season and Cayden will need to adjust to the college level
Even if everyone but Mal returns we need 2 portal guys to make 10. Probably one of Coward/Cal guy and then a Gillis type role player. Or one portal wing and the freshman who is reclassing. Throw in 1 or 2 grad student practice guys. Sheffield could return.
That’s kind of the thing with momentum - it can change quickly. One minute youre up 14 with a wide open 3 to put the game away and the next thing you know you cant understand what just happened.
I've heard Illinois is offering a starting spot/featured role and 2.5 to 3 million. Can we match that? Cooper's shocking departure should free up some $

We have Foster and Boozer as guards, and hoping to keep Evans and Harris, right?
If we roll out Foster, Boozer and Evans 1-3 that is a decent but not great backcourt. Foster, Evans and Coward/Cal kid sounds a lot better. Coward looks like a better defender so he is my first choice. Both those kids have a lot of suitors though. The Henderson situation makes more sense if Coward was on the way. Or maybe Henderson thought Evans was OAD.

Is tomorrow the last day to announce for transfer portal? So if Evans doesn't announce tomorrow, he's either staying with us or the next option would be NBA? Would this be correct?
Rumor has it that he didn’t have the grades to attend Georgetown. So, he bailed to prevent a Caleb Love scenario.
I’ll go ahead and say it… if we don’t get somebody big news next year is going to be quite the letdown
I’m as anxious as everyone else to hear some good news, but I think we should have faith in Jon and his staff as to who they’re pursuing and what they think they’re likely to get, unless one thinks that Jon’s haul last year was a fluke. And no one should be naive enough not to think that the desired targets are playing one school off the other. Until a target feels no further offers are coming, he’s going to string the process out. The numbers we’re hearing are already making Cooper’s deal with us last year look like the ultimate bargain. Can anyone blame the transfers from squeezing every dollar out that they can? For most it may be the biggest annual paycheck they ever receive.

Given the transfer happy climate it's weird that no one other than Foster has said "hey Duke fans relax I'm coming back." We are long past the days of just assuming people are returning. You don't have to hold a press conference just a "back for year two."

Next year may very well be a down year. I think we all could have swallowed that a lot easier if we had won #6 this year. Feels like this was supposed to be the year. But I have to remember that it’s almost unheard of for a coach to win a championship in their first 3 years.
Given some portal additions and Evans back seems sweet sixteenish. Losing Proctor really hurt. He was the guy I wanted back, not counting the obvious OADs.
