Next play unfortunately. Three thoughts

1. Who returns?

2. Who comes in?

3. Who takes Jai seat on the bench?

My guesses-
1. Evans, Pat, Brown come back 100%
Proctor comes back or goes pro- 60/40 return/leave
Foster- 80% tramsfer
Everyone else 100% gone

2. No clue

3. Jay Williams

1. Harris is a 50/50.
Evans and Pat are as close to 100% as you can get these days.
Foster is 60/40 return or leave
Proctor 50/50 draft or return
Kon and Flagg are gone. Man Man may be forced to leave the country.

2. Like you said, who knows?

3. I'd be okay with Jay Will. He'd be great for our guards, not so much with free throw shooting.

Think Foster is dependant on what Proctor does but I wouldn't mind finding another junior/senior experienced guard that is quick and can break down a defense. Foster just doesn't do it for me even though he's played better last few games.

Harris is gone.

We need Brown, Pat and Evans back

No clue about a coach.

I think Mal, Cooper and Kon are going to the draft, as they should being top 10.
I think we get one of Proctor/Foster back. Losing both would be tough. Proctor may test the waters.
I think Brown comes back. If he transferred again that would hurt as he is one of my favorites.
Pat should come back; although he may not want to compete with Brown and Boozer for minutes. A lot of teams would love to have him.
I think Harris transfers.
Jon needs to lock down Evans. Did he even play last night? Players don't always respond well to that. 50/50

I have no insider info but I just don’t think Jwill will be in coaching.

I’d say Harris is gone and I guess this will be ugly on my part but hopefully Foster is gone as well.

Proctor is unknown, if he’s making decent money now then why not stay one more year and get that degree,

Pat, Brown, and Evans return.

I have no idea about the portal.

I don’t think it’s ugly I think it make sense for foster to move on.

As for j will. I say him because I watched an interview where he said he really wants to get into coaching. Made it seem like he’s got something lined up but who know s

I'm with you on Foster. He just doesn't do it for me

The dude just cannot finish around the rim, he can’t do it.

He cannot make consecutive FTS, last night he didn’t even get a split at the line. He is a mid major D1 player.

And it isn’t because of a previous injury.

Ok I’ll stop with that. I know he’s done the best he could.

It will be interesting to see if Jon sticks with Foster or brings in a portal guard. Not an easy decision. I think these guys have a pretty good idea of what their teammates are doing at this point.

Could Brown play the 4 spot? I know Boozer can. If he can, then bring in another center. 4 guys for 2 spots. 2 C's 2 PF's. I thing Boozer and Big Pat working together should be fun on offense with both having great hands for big men. And by the way...foul call on Coop still sucks.

Never know what players are thinking, but I do think Coach Scheyer is wanting to construct his teams moving forward the same way he constructed the 2024-2025 team. Efficient Defensive and Efficient Offensive Teams, with some veteran program players, talented freshmen, with 1-2 transfers, all the players being unselfish.

This is my hope for next season’s team:

PG - Foster
SG - Proctor (plays best off the ball)
SF - Evans
PF - Cameron Boozer
C - Ngongba

Bench:

Brown - PF/C
Harris - SG
Khamenia - SF/PF
Cayden Boozer - PG/SG
Henderson - SF/PF
Shot Blocker/Lob Threat (from transfer portal) - C

Wow Jay Williams would be an amazing addition. My favorite player as a kid. Not hating on Jai Lucas, but hard to accept the reality of that situation. Makes it feel pretty pointless caring so much about these teams, when somebody in that position can leave during the season.

Totally ridiculous

My guess.
Flagg, Kon, Mal and Proctor turn pro .
Foster leaves for the portal. Cayden is a combo guard and I do think Jon brings in a pg with upperclassman leadership.
I think Cameron plays mainly at the 4 next year.
One of Big Pat or Brown might hit the portal, just my opinion.
Harris -gone for the portal
Evans returns as Dukes starting sg.
Khamenia power forward off the bench and Henderson could start at the sf spot .
Have to think that the staff addresses rebounding and defense again this off season .

Have we ever gone into a season with zero returning guards? That is a scary thought. Maybe J Will's first year but Carrawell could play in the backcourt.

You need another BIG. You need Foster to stay. Keep Harris too.

If we return Brown and Big Pat to pair along with Cameron and Khamenia that’s going to be a hard sale unless they do not mind coming off the bench . However , that said you are correct and may he please rebound .

I would like everyone not graduating or going in the first round to return . The reminder of last night is something you can’t teach you have to experience it .
I want them to come back with an edge and a purpose !

We need a ball handling dog. Someone that can create for others, and create for themselves when needed. I’m not sure Proctor or Foster have that in them.

Would like to keep Pat and Maliq, and bring in a few solid veterans.

Wonder if Tyus and Tre Jones have any cousins playing college basketball this upcoming season that would like to come play for Duke haha

Our guys need to make quick decisions. We already have a 5 star guard coming in. If Proctor tests the waters this may make it harder to get a portal guard. Ironically this is how Proctor reclassed. Didn't he come when Keels waited until the last minute (literally) before staying in the draft?

I've expressed my concerns moving forward, which is having a dog running the point. It's almost impossible though to think about next season. This was the most enjoyable Duke team I've watched play in years, way more fun than even the 15 title team. I mean we finally had that one and done guy that was EVERYTHING we've been wanting for years. I mean everything. I thought everyone around him were great fits too. This team was it. Then WHAM!!! all the sudden they looked like a pitiful youth league team. The next thing you know, we're behind, begging for our star to make a shot.

We all felt like the rug got yanked out from under us.

I am okay with Proctor, Foster and Boozer in the backcourt. If one leaves then we need a portal guard. Likely one of Foster/Proctor leaves.

Wright is 6-2 and averaged 11.5 points and 4 steals in 29 minutes. The statement from Baylor sounds like his decision caught them off guard and they thought he was staying. He had 24 points and 6 assists against Kansas. I say hell yeah. Not if it drives Proctor out the door but that decision may already be made.

Robert Wright the second just hit the Portal. That’s the pg Duke needs. He’s tough, attacks the basket and shoots the three.
Flagg might want to put a call into his old team mate. And he plays defense .

Yes to him and go hard after the Wilkerson kid from Sam Houston St
