Movies, TV shows you are watching.

Watched a Quiet Place Day One. Ehhh it was okay. The first film was great, the second was good, this was average. I also bought an Airport 4 pack, with all 4 70's disaster films spoofed in the movie Airplane. Surely you can't be serious.

I am a big fan of the first two, the third was serviceable. Blu-ray set of Airport? Because I have that, I also own both Airplane films, haha.

The Rewrite 2014
Wow this was a great little movie. Hugh Grant is a one hit Hollywood screenwriter who needs a job. His agent gets him a job teaching screenwriting at a college in Binghamton, New York, a town I am quite familiar with. An excellent feel good movie, with a superb supporting cast including Marissa Tomei, Allison Janey, JK Simmons and Chris Elliot. Filmed in upstate NY which was nice.

They obviously did not film that in winter as there would be a foot of snow on the ground. Binghampton is 2 hours south of Buffalo. It's near Ithaca, where Cornell University is. I've been nostalgic for NY lately, I want to get back for a visit.

Checked out “Complete Unknown” the Bob Dylan movie over the weekend.

I knew nothing about Bob Dylan other than his hit “Like a Rolling Stone” until I watched the movie over the weekend. Educational and Entertaining 2 hours and 20 minute movie.

Saw Longlegs. If you like slow burn/dread horror this one is for you. Nicolas Cage plays a deranged serial killer and Maika Moore is the young FBI agent who had an interaction with him when she was a girl. Silence of the Lambs with a supernatural twist. Had to check under my bed before going to sleep after this one.

I like that kind of slow burning dread horror. Stuff like Midsomer, It Follows. Hereditary too that that was a little too disturbing for me. I'd put Seven in there too. I have Wonka to watch later. I hit the wrong button sorry for the giant font. Okay fixed it.

Se7en is one of my favorites of all time. And the rest of those you mentioned are great, too. I have the director's cut of Midsommar. I would suggest watching it if you can. I'd add The Witch to that list.

Watched The Recruit.
It was okay. But it was painful watching Colin Farrell wrestle with an American accent and seeing Al Pacino in full Scent of a Woman overacting mode.

Wonka
******* awful. What a mess. I love the original. The worst songs I've ever heard in a musical. I don't get the Chalomet hype.
