Movies, TV shows you are watching.

Rewatching True Detective Season 1.

If you haven't seen it, I can't possibly recommend it more highly. Superb storytelling, and Harrelson and MM are absolutely brilliant. Easily in my Top 5 shows of all time.

Also watched the first 7 episodes of The Agency. Really good so far.

Black Doves Season 1 is also very good.

If you like politics, first 3 seasons of House of Cards are excellent. It's a bit outlandish a few times but overall it's well done.

Oh... also can't recommend Mindhunter enough. Basically the true story of the pioneers of the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit, more or less made famous in The Silence of the Lambs. Travesty they didn't renew it for more seasons.

True detective season 1 is without a doubt one of the best shows of all time. Peak HBO.

Warm Bodies is really good. A Zombie romantic comedy. Speaking of smoking; Teresa Palmer.
Also watched What doesn't kill you, a mafia movie with Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke as Boston thugs. It's a true story. Recommended.

I watched Ghost Story from 1981 and enjoyed it. Now I want to read the Peter Straub novel. Him and S King wrote the Talisman.
That's a good one and the novel is pretty spooky too. I've been on a Western kick and I have watched several terrific ones I had never seen: Hombre, The Big Gundown, Man of the West, and The Left Handed Gun. I've also been enjoying AppleTV+ show Shrinking with Harrison Ford.

People seem surprised Ford can do comedy but Han Solo and Indy have a lot of humor. Han Solo would be borderline unlikeable if not for his humor, especially in the first film.

That's what I have heard. He's good in 1923, but he's basically doing Harrison Ford. I've also heard good things about Ted McGinley in Shrinking. I've always liked him, nice to see him getting his due. He was labled the "jump the shark" actor, as he joined shows on the decline like Happy Days and the Love Boat.

Went to the thrift store to look for Ghost Story. Didn't find that but picked up Night Shift, a short story collection from Stephen King in his peak early years. Many of them have been made into movies, like Children of the Corn, Graveyard Shift, Maximum Overdrive and the Boogeyman. There is also a story that ties into Salem's Lot. I read it in high school.

Last night I watched Blade Runner 2049. I liked it in the theater but loved it on re-watch. The music and cinematography are just breath taking. I am watching Furiosa tonight; never saw it but loved Fury Road.

Blade Runner is in my top ten films of all time. I was so nervous about a sequel, and then I saw it. I saw it three times, twice in IMAX. It's up there in the top tier of film sequels.

Ford and Gosling should work together again. They have amazing onscreen and offscreen chemistry. Their banter in interviews during the press tour made me think they should do a buddy film together.

Also, yes, that film has several emotional hits. The Rachel scene, K's Tears in Rain scene, and Deckard's reaction to seeing his daughter for the first time. A legacy sequel done perfectly.

Currently watching the Blacklist again. I stopped Season 5 and never started again. Also started Missing You. The Harlan Coben mini-series of the books are good. Beware that some of the shows are in another language and hard to follow. The English ones though are great. Gonna start the Sopranos again for like the 50th time. They started popping up in my feed so what the heck. Bobby getting killed hurt my soul.

I have a PlayStation 5 and XBox one . Don’t really play them . Only got them because my daughter had a five and my son the Xbox one. My grandkids mainly play them now so they will stay off their ain’t and uncles. I also might go back to playing them if the come out with another college basketball game .

I don't play online, so for me the XBox 360 is the sweet spot between a huge library of games that still look good that are also super cheap. I've flirted with getting a PS5/XBox One but I have so many 360 games that I haven't even played yet. I can usually pick up used games for under 10 dollars. Sometimes under 5 dollars.
