These kids need to hit up some Mickey Ds or be introduced some protein shakes. I've never seen such scrawny kids in one game
Yes, Kennard looked to have good size (for his position) and moved well. Nothing I saw from him last night would lead me to think he will not be good next year.Originally posted by eastspartan:
I thought Luke having 9 points was pretty good considering they wouldn't pass him the ball even when he was open.
^This. Completely playground ball. I couldn't even watch, even though I wanted to see the future Duke players.Originally posted by Jnood:
Man, I don't even know why I bother watching the game anymore. I want to check out who we have coming in, but all this is, is how not to play the game of basketball.
This is kind of what some folks were wanting right? More players that will stick around to let us get to know them.Originally posted by stanleyduke:
I watched 3 minutes before I got fed up but the biggest takeaway for me is that this class as a whole does not have college/NBA ready bodies that prior classes had. All these guys could benefit from at least a couple years of a college weight room program.
It should be the norm, but lately it seems more guys have come into college with the size and strength of an upperclassman. I think if you are a program looking to rely on Freshmen next year, you will struggle since these guys are going to have a tough time dealing with the strength and size of experienced teams.Originally posted by DukeDenver:
