Thanks for the invite hart. I do lurk and see many very good comments made by some very good Duke fans. Basically I don't care for confrentation and there's still some going. I do realize that DI does have The Lounge and if you want confrentation then that's the place to go. I did not care for the recliner coaches who everytime we would lose had the solution for winning that game but seemed to be absent when we win. There is no coach or player bashing but you can express your opinion , frustrastrations and disappointments. The trolls from other programs that pop up consistantly became too much for me although I know it's a free board and the DI mods has their hands full controlling them. There's probably some trolls that somehow got on DBB but it was by deception and they stay quiet and don't post. Pisgah was right in the fact that this board has grown beyond my mindset or passed me by and I can't change with the times. I joined DI back in 2006 and DBB is a lot like DI was then. Once again I do lurk and there's a lot of positive Duke fans here but believe when I say DBB is home and it is perfect for me. OFC. ( I didn't forget the OFC)

I think our board is as strong as ever,and Timo and Pisgah do a very good job of keeping the trolls away when they show their arse.
THE 5 POINT PLAY PODCAST is a good source of following the hoops program too.Also,the football section of the board remains strong with great stuff from Duke beat writer @ConorONeill(Conor of course contributes in ALL SPORTS),and occassionally offers free stories off his premium site. @surfdevil makes his timely football contributions too. For those of you who follow Duke sports other than basketball, there is great info shared in the football thread. Between Conor and Surfdevil, I look there first before anywhere else for Duke football news.

I would be shocked, shocked, if Ucon didn't sweeten the pot for Hurley to stay. He's got to be the highest paid person in Connecticut.
Don’t think UCONN can pay him $11 Million a season but will get a raise from $5 Million. Left a lot of money on the table. Maybe it’s JJ job now.
There is a rumor that the offer was viewed as low. There is also the rumor of a complete overhaul of the Lakers roster. That’s not the ideal starting spot for a new nba coach.

Did Flip make a mistake by coming back? He was apparently a 1st rounder last year. Man he had a weird season.
Love the kid as he was a warrior all season but that’s why they say strike when the iron is hot.
Hard to say. I know his measurables were not good, esp his wingspan, so maybe he slips last year too.
Flip , imo made a mistake coming back . I never viewed him as a lottery pick but late first round yes . Him playing out of position did no favors and a lot of teams were worried about him having to adapt to the physical play in the post in the league . A lot of teams used first round picks on stash players that probably will remain over seas. Flip going early in the second is still good.
Rumor on Twitter that Flip was brainwashed by his girlfriend and Flip doesn’t talk to his family anymore. His mom also said Flips girlfriend and Flip started dating while Flip was still in hs and she had graduated college. The girlfriend’s endgame was to have a ring on her finger when Flip left Duke.

i heard something similar. I’m happy he got drafted today, but trying to be objective, he seemed like a tortured soul much of his time at Duke and not always mentally in the game. Maybe domestic/familial issues were part of it. In any event, I hope he does well…
Jeff, I sure hope he isn’t involved in a toxic relationship with his girlfriend. Toxic relationships are never fun.
I do but wanted to get my facts straight out of respect for Flip. But it's a national story now. Flip's girlfriend is much older than him and the family does not like it. She was 24 when she went to his prom. He was 17. Kyle is now estranged from his family. His girlfriend is a Mormon, and the family does not seem happy about that. Interesting that the Utah Jazz drafted him. The brother mentioned "connecting the dots."

Dang so that’s why they didn’t take him with their first round pick and signed Bacot undrafted. I knew Flip and Bacot had a plan to end up on the same team .
I spent a summer in Utah a few years back. If I was a professional athlete, I would be so angry to be drafted by Utah. That is if you like to party a bit…
