Anyone catch the end of Game 7, talk about an instant classic. Paul's winner was amazing but Clips aren't in that game if JJ doesn't nail those two tough three balls. Love watching JJ shoot, fill it up!

Sadly you will not see JJ get much credit for them. The Clippers are all about Paul and Griffin. OFC

Agreed Heyman. I hate to see a kid work as hard as JJ has the last few years to make his game better and not get noticed, but hey we that are in the Duke family can certainly be proud of JJ and the impact he has made at the next level. I did actually hear Shaq and Jalen Rose give JJ some props and credit during that series with the Spurs which floored me. Especially Jalen.

I think people are beginning to see JJ's talents and how valuable he is. He has developed a pretty good all around game now. I understand that Doc Rivers really wanted him on the Clippers. I'd hate to have to guard him and chase him all night. He has a lot of energy and in such good shape he can run all night.

Eh. I couldn't be more happy about JJ's performances the past couple years generally, but also in game 7. With that said, I don't think he's underappreciated in any meaningful sense -- he's pretty universally recognized as a good shooter / scorer and overall solid starting SG in the NBA for a playoff team. That alone is a pretty amazing accomplishment for someone who many thought would even struggle to hang around in the league. Not to mention that JJ is currently the 4th highest paid player on the Clippers after Paul, Griffin, and Jordan -- which is about precisely commensurate to his role on the team.

However, you can't really compare JJ to Paul or Griffin -- who are just on a completely different level and the reason Clippers even have a chance to beat a time like the Spurs. Most would consider Paul / Griffin to be 2 of the top 10 players in the NBA, and Paul almost undoubtedly the top pure PG.

I have to disagree with you here Heyman. As someone who follows the NBA very closely I can tell you with complete confidence that J.J. gets a ton on credit on that Clippers team. He doesn't get as much as Paul, Griffin or Jordan....but he shouldn't. As good as J.J. was late the other night, Paul was even better.

And one more thing, Austin Rivers had a couple really nice games in that series too. Paul and Griffin are what makes them go, but the contributions the Clippers get from J.J., Austin, Matt Barnes and Jamal Crawford do not go unrecognized. Even Glen "Big Baby" Davis....he's one of their emotional leaders.

It's just a shame that series was in the first-round. That was some great basketball.

I agree with DJ -- third highest paid guy on the team....behind Griffin and Paul at $6.6m this year, married to some knockout, with a team that knows how to best use him. Wish I wasn't getting credit as well as JJ....
