I'm pretty much all for a level field/court when it comes to collegiate athletics. If Bilas and/or the NCAA or whomever wanna ditch academic requirements for athletes and allow players to accept all manner of payment from anywhere/anyone for services rendered , fine. Until then though , I'm gonna insist that everyone get on the same page...gonna insist that serial offenders not be lyin' , holier-than-thou hypocrites who point the dirty end of the stick at everyone else for God knows how long too. That's not askin' a whole lot either. And btw..."scandal fatigue" affects everyone but unx is counting on it as a defense vs the most egregious offenses ever recorded in the NCAA. We're in Year 5 so it was a bit of a miscalculation on their part but it's still part of the plan. Anyway , whatever happened to holdin' someone accountable for their actions? This ain't a particularly unique idea...especially when ya figure in the amount of damage done by unx ( and those with ties to it ) to rival schools. Put Duke in this position...or State. Anyone remember lacrosse? LACROSSE!? God forbid , had that been K. Pretty sure there was a unx lawyer and unx sympathies drivin' all that. Pretty sure the unx message boards wouldn't be echoing the same lamentations I see here if it was Duke under the microscope...and they'd have the political/media clout to make it hurt.
