Garrison Brooks returning for senior season

My question is this, they'll have Brooks, Bacot, Sharpe, Kessler, Manley, and Huffman for two spots next season? How does that work? Brooks is starting. There's no question there. So will Bacot if he comes back. So, two five star centers are coming off the bench? Manley and Huffman are both senior forwards next season. What happens to their playing time? Wanda must have made some of that special P. J. Hariston nanner puddin this time.

Can Kessler or Sharpe play the 3? Might have to.

I think Huffman and Manley were projects that didn't work out. However, Ole Roy will still play them, bless his little heart.

Manley and Huffman aren't even a part of the equation. Manley might never play again because of his injuries and I wouldn't be surprised to see Huffman move on to another school if he wants to play.

Hate that for Manley. I'd say they both would be better off transferring out then.

Roy 101. Stockpile top flight talent to squeeze several years out of them.

According to 247
Team A—one player 5 star (14 nation) stayed 3 seasons. Another, a 4 star (29 nation) 4 seasons
Team B—one 4 star (131 nation) will be a senior. Another, a 5 star (27 nation) is undecided.

Team A—Bolden and Jefferson
Team B—Brooks and Bacot

I despise the Holes as much as anyone, but let’s not let our hate make us blind to some facts.

Huffman has REGRESSED CONSIDERABLY. The Miller kid even advanced past him on the totem pole this year.... OFC

Speaking of miller what unc program will he be the next coach at. Will he replace his brother at unc-greensboro, or will he be at unc-asheville, unc-charlotte or unc-wilmington? Or will he go directly to hof coach roy williams staff? The cheater u loves them some millers. OFC

I don't understand this comparison.

Really? Wow. I thought what I said was a pretty easy stat that shows Duke has also had high rated guys stay multiple seasons. The poster I was replying to made the comment that Ol Roy keeps his “top flight” guys several seasons, which also seems to be a constant topic with some of our fans.
Hope what I said helps. I honestly thought it was clear.

Okay well, I guess so. I think it's a pretty hard argument to make that Duke has come anywhere close to keeping players around the way UNC was in the last 10 years.

Also I thought the discussion was about how they are keeping all these guys given the depth at the position, so I thought your post was referencing that.

Unfortunately UNC is rarely down for 2 years. They are also bringing in two highly rated guards. They will be a handful.

I think they're a top 3 team with what they're bringing in and assuming only Cole leaves. They'll be very talented, experienced, and ready to make up for the shit storm of a year they just had. I know that front line is going to be almost unstoppable.

great job cherry picking players, now macdoo, barnes(#1), bullock, Hairston, Hicks, Jackson, pinson all top 15 players in there class returned to unc compared to tre and bolden since 2010, add Henson If you wanna go back to 09 so yeah Roy has kept his guys

Cherry picking? Haha. Roy may convince a kid to stay, I don’t know. Do you think a Carter, Bagley, Barrett, or Kyrie would have stayed longer had they played over there?
The simple fact is Duke gets more exposure than the holes, and if we are honest, we’ve fared much better in recruiting than they have since 2010.
The Brotherhood just might be one of the best marketing schemes ever. As crazy as this sounds, when a high school kid says he’s joining the Brotherhood, count him as a one and done.

This thread had some decent traction a while back, and trying to find different things to pass the time.
I’ll lead it off with a couple:

Touring Gospel singers: The Dude and Datt
Bomb Squad (Lead detonator) Ipsy

I think they're a top 3 team with what they're bringing in and assuming only Cole leaves. They'll be very talented, experienced, and ready to make up for the shit storm of a year they just had. I know that front line is going to be almost unstoppable.

bleediteveryday30, I don’t see it. Roy has never fared well with his heel teams who rely on the majority of their production coming from newcomers. Brooks and Bacot (if he comes back) is a good place to start, but the ncaa tournament championship is mainly won with great guard play which I don’t see the heels having.

UNC will be better next season. But people really think they're going from last pace in the ACC to being a top 5 team nationally? Yikes. Don't see it. Freshmen guards that aren't already bonafide superstars take time to develop. Love and Davis will be solid. They aren't game-changers, however. I think UNC could be a title contender by 2022, however.
