The referees have defeated the mighty North Carolina Tar Heels.

Oh, and Roy owns K.

They're gonna be calling for Ol Roys head. Meanwhile Gott signs a 10yr extension for beating Duke and unx in the same season.

Theyre the 5 seed in the ACCT right now and will have to play Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat.

I actually agree. They haven't be the real Carolina since 2009. I have read somethings on THR the past couple of years and they are frustrated. They have really fallen. And Roy is a big reason. If they play like this again next year, I wouldn't be surprised if he is forced out.

The officiating once again was just horrendous. Enough said other than John Swofford needs to step in and start rolling some heads. That makes it 757 all time now a record which will never be broken. OFC

Quit giving them a hard time guys. They're battling a lot of injuries.

I honestly never thought this Carolina team would have 9 losses right now. They are big and deep. Their shooters just are not consistent at all. State played great D, boxed out, and made them take contested jump shots. I think this will be the game that propels State to finishing strong. Carolina is a funny group. I don't really get how they can play one way and then another. Jekyll and Hyde.

..........the Scar Heels have lost with a few more on the horizon! OFC

NPOY and best point guard in college basketball scores 7 on three of eight shooting. What a joke. Give me a freshman Jones seven days a week and twice on Sunday. I would love to see them hang another NIT runner up banner. Not likely, but would be funny.

Paige is exactly who I thought he would be! Honestly to me, this is more the real Paige then the Paige most expected. He simply is not a super star nor built to carry a team. Glad my team isn't dependent on Marcus being the man!!!!!!

But wait I thought they were in a better spot to make a run in the tourney than us....maybe they saw UK last year and figured that was the best route to the finals...hope they are ready for uk in the round of 32 (if they get there)

To THR's credit, they didn't tell us what direction they were going to run. They are running a marathon is reverse. It is the opposite of a TRY-athalon. They are running right into a 9 seed. And, they should be running with their tails between their legs.

And lord knows with their shooters there are plenty of opportunities for offensive rebounds!!!

Their confidence is down, but that is still a talented team that can beat anyone. Hopefully the losing steak continues, but you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be ready for one particular team and game.

Dirt, you hit it the nail on the head man. This team could still get it together and I know they will for at least one game too. I do think things could spiral out of control for them if they lose to Miami and us finishing the year. I could see an early exit in the ACC tourney and NCAA's if that happens. On the flip side of that, they win out for the season and this team could be really dangerous in March. The talent is there and they have a great front line. I hope they fall flat on their faces, however, I am not ready to call it yet. I don't want to see them gain any confidence at all moving forward.

In college basketball you need great guards to truly be great. UNC just doesn't have them right now. I've been a big supporter of Paige (as much as you can be a supporter of a team you don't like) but I'm starting to think I was wrong. He's a very solid player....but he's not a stud. At least he isn't right now.

The Heels still have a lot of talent, but they would have to beat four pretty good teams, in a row, to make the Final Four. When you 1) don't have the guards to rely on to get you there, and 2) can't shoot consistently from the outside it's difficult to make long sustained runs over a stretch of games.

Guys I'm out of money. The officials have become prima donnas and have bled me dry this season. The Heels are going on a 13 game winning streak which means their 10th national championship which does include all those Helms Trophy's Sorry guys I've done my best.

I'm kind of surprised that Joe Lunardi still has UNC as high as 4 seed right now. They're obviously capable of beating just about every team in the country, but they haven't really performed that great against good competition this season. They're 4-8 against RPI top 50. Two of those wins were against Louisville and NC State - teams that also gave them losses. Talented team, just not sure they merit a 4 seed. Here are their top 50 wins this season... not terribly impressive in my estimation:

WINS:
#18 Louisville
#37 NC State
#45 Ohio State
#50 UCLA
