I totally agree. A lot of young players play to their level of competition. A big name opponent should bring about more focus and intensity.

we have a long way to go. Post entry to Carey is inconsistent if he is our featured scorer. We are passive on the perimeter a lot of times and could use Moore to be more of a slasher. Defensively we have to get better inside and on stopping penetration ( annual issue it seems). Outside of that...how was the play Mrs Lincoln!....hopefully a win to boost confidence a bit. I think you're right, DJ. There won't be as much pressure on Duke playing at Michigan State. I don't think they'll be near as tight.
And I'm proud of them for getting the win tonight, because they could have folded...but didn't.

Man, I totally agree. Definitely have played harder in the bright lights. If this lack luster team travels to Michigan St, lord help them. I have a feeling they will bring it. Been embarrassed on national tv already. They will be ready. Survive the first couple of minutes and play hard. That's all I care about, show some effort. That's free.
Happy to have this one in the bag. Happy to see our free throws fall in tonight. In fact our overall shooting was very good. How big was Matthew in the 1st half and Joey in the second half? We gave up way to many easy baskets in the paint again. Tough break for Cassius. It seems to happen every year . It's like ok who's going down and when. I hope we wear our big boy britches Tuesday night whether they are black, dark gray, camouflage or DUKE BLUE. We have to play like men. OFC

The only thing more confounding than the sudden nosedive on defense is Alex's hair. Really happy for Joey and Jgold having good games. Joey is never scared to shoot. I wish that would run off on Alex and Jack.
I feel really bad for Cassius. He was playing so well in this early season. I also hope that Jones Jr. from Winthrop is OK. Both of them were in a lot of pain. Prayers and well wishes for both of them.
That fellow that carried Jones Jr. to the back is a awesome. Having broke both my ankles, I can say that the EMT who carried me to the gurney was my hero.
