I didn't see it of course but I heard the heels really got shafted bybthe officials again. If not poor officiating they would be undefeated and probably ranked in the top five in the country. I'm surprised that an investigation has not been started. It's the same thing like their basketball games. Always getting the short end of poor officiating. OFC
I know Sky, isn't it just a shame!!!!??? Hahahaha OFC
At 75 years old, I am old enough to remember when Duke was really good. I really think academics will always keep Duke from being like that again. I know , I know, ND, Stanford , and some other schools are able to do it, but, as much as I would like to see it happen, I doubt it ever does again. That does not mean that I won't still pull for them, it just means that I don't expect them to be in the FCS.I'm not as negative as you guys. I am proud of our coach and our players who seem to be good guys and trying their best.
I feel like our recruiting hasn't improved at all and if anything is not as good as it was 3-5 years ago. Mostly 3 star players and there's only so much that Coach Cut can coach them up.
There is better coaching now in the ACC than 5 years ago (UNX for example) and Duke is finding it hard to compete on a regular basis.
Our offensive line is routinely not strong or athletic enough to support a running game which throws off the entire offense. I don't know if the play calling is good or bad--I just see an overwhelmed offensive line. Trick plays will only go so far when the defense blows everything up.
Remember Daniel Jones was a diamond in the rough, not a highly recruited player. We have not gotten a highly rated quarterback and I can't guess why, other than QBs want to play in front of 70-100,000 people, not 15,000.
I think Duke football has peaked and if this is the best we can do, it's a lot better than 10 years ago but is disappointing to those of us who care deeply about the program. I suspect we are not in the majority of Duke fans who really only care about basketball.

Deja vue all over again, except worse. Just like last year's UVA game, we had no answer for their offense and were overpowered and out-schemed by UVA's defense. Seems like they had our game plan before the start of the game. Our offensive line was manhandled, and our defensive line was pushed around. This one hurts in so many different ways.
Looked like a team not playing for 1st place, and an especially lack of preparation offensively. Cut's now 0-10 vs Pitt/UVA last five years. No way you slice it, thats embarrassing and there are no excuses for it.

Well, if he hired Collins to vet Duke's offensive scheme, I am all for it. Remember, Duke does not have an experienced OC, just a former special teams coordinator. I don't know anything about Collins' background, but I am encouraged that Cut is seeking help. Obviously, the current OC is not really adding anything of substance.Cut announced today that duke has hired jim collins as a football analyst. interesting to me. just a day after he publicly states we dont have a schematic issue he hires a specialist.

Boy Cut likes to stay with people he knows well, doesn't he? Well this hiring can't hurt.
I guess it would have been to much to ask that a certain "Head Ball Coach" would be available for the position of "football analyst".

Would love for the Ol Ball Coach to be guest offensive coordinator this week against Mr Football’s team.
the thing i am curious and interested in is Cuts comment ''perfect fit into our system as we expand our staff'' in his introduction speech. maybe more to come? i thought he was pathetic (sorry, my opinion) for quitting in mid season at south carolina but Spurrier coming back as an offensive analyst kinda makes sense with his grandson being on the team as a walk-on. would definitely liven up our playbook i would think.
