Coward trending up for NBA draft...Duke in limbo.

Anyone else read about Coward being a sleeper pick come draft and how scouts love him? That would be a huge loss if he doesn't come to Duke. I felt he was going to be a great addition and I'm not sure who else is out there in the portal to replace him. We will see I guess.

Most mocks have him early or late second. He's 50/50 on staying or coming to Duke. That's my personal guess; I have no information. Boogie is interesting. Obviously, you take him, but where does that put Boozer and Caleb?

A lot is going to be based if he can go through the five on five scrimmages. There is a lot of time for him to decide . I’m sure Scheyer took his commitment knowing he might stay in the draft . Not the end of the world .

It's business. Like I said I'm not gonna lose sleep over what these guys do. Boogie would get me excited though. He's only 6-2 but a quick guard might be just what we need. Stealing from Duke Basketball Report (again) but Fland had a 5-1 assist to TO ratio and Jon was interested in him in high school. Florida might be the favorite though.

At this point, I would not expect Cedric Coward to suit up for Duke. His athletic testing has been great, measurements were off the charts and he's posting the best shooting numbers of anyone at the combine.

It is strange; Coward sounds like he is testing better than almost everyone there, and there are some heavy hitters. And it's not just one person at least 10 people have posted raves about him.

The schedule of all this is truly ignorant - portal opens during the tourney and during the middle of the semester, it then closes a month before the early entry deadline and withdrawal date.

Portal should open May 15 and close June 15. Early withdrawal date moves up to June 1.
