RJ took 29% of teams’ shots last year. That’s quite a bit less than Anthony.

How long until Leaky Black gets upset about his touches? I still can’t believe that’s a real person!

Come on now. Cole is an attack first type of pg that can win you and lose you a game by himself . Him and Rj are cut from the aame cloth, hyper competative coming at you with everything they got all game long.

RJ if he didnt have Zion and Cam, usage would of been absurd. Nothing wrong with that kid is just a killer and cole is the same way.

With that said unless UNC gets someone else to step up with Cole I can see teams designing schemes to shut their offense down. Like Dukes offense last ywar without Zion, I can see UNC getting stale and struggle offensively if Come cant go.

He’s a ball hog looking for a high draft pick. It’ll cost them! He’s an excellent player but he doesn’t care if they win or lose.

I know Anthony is a talented player, and he's going to score a bunch of points (no matter how many shots it takes), but I'm just not as 'wowed' as everyone else is about him. And I don't think my duke bias is in the way, 'cause I thought Coby White was incredible. His shot selection (the parts of the first 2 games I watched was atrocious), and he pounds the ball quite a bit. Obviously that could change quickly as he gets more experience, but as of now, I like our chances against the Heels with him running the show.
What he does do really well is rebound the ball...and starts a fast break in a nano second.

^ I understand what you're saying but I'd stay tuned, so to speak, because you may not feel that way in a few months.

Then again, you may be spot-on. I hope so! ;-)

Not a typical Roy club. Outside Cole, we look rather pedestrian, right now. Barring any more injuries, I’d guess a middle of the ACC pack. There’s time for development and cohesiveness, we trust Roy, but expectations aren’t very high, for me.
Cole will be fun to watch. Bacot looks soft. Grad transfers should get better, but huge difference playing in the ACC vs where they came from (it shows). Brooks and Leaky are serviceable, drops off significantly from there.
Here’s to good games against you, damn skippy glad they’re months away...

Don't get me wrong, Bullett, Cole is very good, it's just that I see a little of that HB40 hype going on with him. Barnes was touted as the greatest thing since sliced bread, and make no mistake about it he was very good, but not on the level of what was projected. Anthony has the same type of vibe to me. I'm not predicting how his season will go, I'm just not ready to put a crown on his head yet. As usual, time will tell.

Cole, unlike HB40, has a high motor to back up his talent and play style. HB40's biggest problem was he was okay with being a 2nd or 3rd option and didnt bring it every game, much like Cam did at Duke.

I'm not a Cole Anthony expert. I've only seen him in parts of his 1st 2 college games, and that's a very small sample, very early in the season. He may well be everything you and almost everyone else says he is, I just don't see it yet myself. I don't really care if he's the player of the year, 'cause if he has to shoot as much as he's been shooting, then it bodes well for other teams against the Heels. And that's what it's all about to me, whether the Heels win or lose, and losing is my preferred option.

Now I will disagree a little with you about Barnes. I don't think he was satisfied with being a 2nd or 3rd option. He averaged the most fg attempts on the team in both of his years, and was the leading scored his 2nd year, and just 2 tenths of a point behind Zeller (despite shooting 3 more shots a game) in his freshman year.
Now, about Barnes motor, you're probably right there.
Oh, and Cole does seem to have a great motor, and that's always huge for any player and team.

I’m a Duke fan, not blind. Cole Anthony will be a great player for the one year he’s at UNCheat.

I just want to have to deal with him for one year. Phil Ford was there for 4 years and made my life miserable. Don't think I could deal with more than one year. Something tells me that he's gonna be a show boating hot dog. ( old fart term for a player that brings attention to himself. Don't know today's term for players like that. ) OFC

Based on what I saw in 2 games they need him to dominate because the rest of the group is nowhere near the quality of past teams. Cole is a stud and doesn’t need to showcase himself - the league already knows

Don’t remember any reservations about Barnes’ motor. Fake news. Cam always had his motor questioned.

Trae Young part 2 with UNC and Cole Anthony. He will have a bunch of high scoring games and will shoot 45%-50% of UNC's FGs. What's funny, is most of UNC's fans are making the guys who are out with injuries as some type of studs. Pretty comical.
