Chris's Coor's and Nathan's Courtside (well TV side) Post Game Observations and Rants/raves.

I caught the second half because I was working. It was 10-0 Penn State and I thought ND was going to get blown out. Rooting for Texas today because I don't like Ohio State.

Got a nice hike in, got Wendy's for lunch (chili and a grilled chicken wrap) and watching the game. I am a fan of ND football so this has been a very good week.
1. Mal looks good. ND is weak down low and we feasted.
2. Gillis with a nice drive for a layup.
3. Big pat with the jump hook. I'm calling it now he is better than Kareem. We will need him with Brown out.
4. Shulman and Bilas. Ugh. That little up tic in Shulmans voice every time anyone makes a shot is really irritating.
Kon KonNIPPLE with the 3 and DUKE goes back on top! Mute please.
5. Damn Mal is looking good. We are looking for the lob and he can finish.
6. And the 3 point shooting conTINues for Notre dame. I'm just gonna start TALKING LIKE THIS! AND A FOUL as WELL! Stfu Shulman.
7. ND making a late run and keeping it close. This is the CLOSEST Notre Dame has BEEN
8. Kon with the nice post up he uses his body well.
9. Cooper taking over.
10. Decent win other than Cooper we looked a little flat. Foster and Evans will be on the back of my milk carton tomorrow when I eat my Cheerios. We need Brown back and healthy.

Moon Over My Hammy Edition
Duke good Miami bad Fire Bad Arrrrrrr edition.
I didn't watch the game but I am pouring over the box score and have read a lot of comments.
1. I have a cold so it's tea and lemon instead of Coor's. I'm not Nyquiled up but I should be,
2. Gillis with 12 points. He is really coming on strong lately. Important with Brown out. I like grown men. Wait that sounded funny. Do you like Gladiator movies Timmy?
3. Maluach with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Those are Elton Brand stats.
4. Kon with 25 points on 9 of 11 shooting. My dreams of sophomore Kon are gone like dust in the wind. I think he's reached the point of no return. How long?
5. I was getting down on Foster but looks like he rebounded nicely with 9 points.
6. Slim Reaper with 8 bench points.
7. Proctor with zero points. maybe it's freaky Friday and him and Foster smashed heads in the hallway.
8. Cooper with a relatively quiet 13 and 7. I told a co-worker he is better than Zion today.
9. 89-54. Pretty impressive. Even if Miami is awful. I am a Notre dame football fan; so F Miami.
10. Pat had 4 points but sounds like his D needs some work. Nice to see him get 19! minutes.

Watching the 20 minute Wake Forest highlights now. No Coors, no hot dogs, but spaghetti and meatballs.
1. Gillis continues his solid play. Hitting his threes and providing toughness.
2. Cooper with a nifty 10 footer and a block. Then the and one. He is so efficient he is the Antiflip.
3. Kon hitting two corner threes. Evans in for a few minutes, went scoreless.
4. Big Pat looks good. Layup and a block. Reid may have been a bad match up for Mal, Pat seemed to body up to him better.
5. We looked like we were on the ropes at the 12:00 minute mark. Too many threes. Think we took 32?
6. Foster with another donut. His NIL should be Dunkin Donuts. He was making some crisp passes. We're pulling for you man.
7. Khaman with zero points. Not ideal. We would need more against a Tenn, Alabama, etc.
8. Gillis with the dagger 3. We don't win without him today. 11 and 6. Sion was a bit quiet.
9. Cooper with the dagger slam. He is playing much better the past month. Proctor with some clutch baskets.
10. Great win in a tough environment. No court storming today slappies.

The KFC and Diet Coke Duke vs North Carolina top 10.
1. Flagg hitting 2 early 3's and a great assist and block. Better than Zion, clap clap clap calp clap
2. Lost somewhat in the Flagg hype is Kon. He is playing at an all American level right now.
3. Sion finishing at the rim. Glad he has been reading my top 10 lists.
4. Brown's D makes us 6-8 points better. He's that good.
5. We are up 40 to 13. The game is over.
6. Mal with the facial dunk. Very nice.
7. Cooper is a really good passer. Head always up. My dad likes this.
8. Kon with the baseline dunk. Then the spin and layup. Just damn.
9. Proctor with some threes and solid D.
10. Sion with the slam. Gillis quiet but he did hit a 3.
Just a great win. Yes the last 7 minutes were sloppy, but this was domination. If Cooper and Kon play at this level we will be tough to beat. K and C. KC. Play that funky music white boys. On to the Cuse Wednesday night in chilly upstate NY, my old stomping grounds.

Finally sitting down with a cold Coor's (it's been a while) and watching the Syracuse game. SU is dear to my heart. I used to live in Ithaca and ran indoor track at the Carrier Dome several times. It's a little sad to see SU mediocre like this. They need to find the right coach after JB. Hint; it ain't Autry.
1. Brown in the game to some boos. He then immediately gets a deflection and steal. We are elite defensively with Brown. We missed that when he was out. He looks 100%.
2. Kon is really doing a great job using his body to get to the hoop. He is bullying ACC guards as a freshman. Kon is knocking players on the ground. He's a physical dude.
3. Big Pat with some really nice D. He is getting some nice experience.
4. Evans in and immediately looking to score. Then hits a 3. He's a dog. Really hope we get year 2.
5. I really like Sion as our PG. He's tough, physical and experienced. A small detail, but he is really good at fighting through screens. I mean, he makes contact when someone else is setting a screen. Small things we have been missing the last few years. J Will said his shot is the only thing keeping him from being a surefire pro.
6. Cooper a quiet start but he doesn't force his shots. He picks his spots. Jon rests him and brings him back at the 3 minute mark and he scores several baskets.
7. Proctor with a dagger 3 before the half but SU hanging in.
8. Lamkin is a big dude who probably would have given us problems last year. But Brown defends him masterfully.
9. Brown is thrown to the ground on a layup; Jon immediately signals the bench to sit down. That is leadership.
10. Cooper with a great assist to Brown. J Will said he is the most complete freshman ever at Duke; and I agree.
You know; I've been a little wait and see on this Duke team due to the ACC being down. But we look like a complete team with Brown back. This team shares the ball and has bought in on D; and Kon and Cooper are studs. Think we can hang #6.
