Datt and Sdevada will fight tooth and nail defending the response by our government, and making excuses for "their" side. These two are as out of touch with reality as our government is. Who is the President right now, Cackles or Ol Joe? It's like asking who the tallest midget is, but Ol Sleepy could fly over the mountains of NC and he'd think it was the Amazon.

On Cackles, the dipshit said what she said in Georgia. This broad is useless. The money being offered to the residents of the mountains? You may as well just spit in their faces and call them uneducated, cousin kissing rejects. That's what you're saying by offering $750.

Instead, keep pumping money into Ukraine, or helping immigrants.
It's infuriating. My house just got washed away, can't find my family, can contact anyone, have nowhere to sleep, no job and someone shows up with a check for $750. Ha. What the hell am I going to do with that? Can't eat it, can't drink it. These people are nuts.

Miami is the local school plus NIL. But there is no comparison to the Duke basketball family and program. If the Boozer twins want the best chance to develop and get ready for the NBA it’s really a no brainer. The other benefit is Coach Scheyer will definitely be here longer for Cayden assuming he stays at least a few years. Hopefully they decide for development/roster over NIL. It’s sounding like we will all find out their choice in a week. LFG join the Brotherhood

Nope. A thousand times nope. President Biden has sounded like a fool trying to talk about it, but the response has been immediate. FEMA is everywhere. I have two of my own kids and countless friends and former students who live in the mountains and they’ve seen help everywhere, from Asheville to Boone.

But go ahead and make it political.
Help is everywhere. But that doesn't mean it is because of the government. The government's response has been abysmal. Like I said, if you want to see how bad the response is, compare this to Katrina and then wonder why you would say this has been a good response when G.W. was criticized heavily for his response. Biden was sitting his ass on the beach and Kamala was living it up with celebrities. Could you imagine the response to that if this were a republican administration? But fvck off, not responding to you again on this topic either. You can't be the least bit critical of your team. People you know say help is everywhere, wow. Hopefully they get internet soon so they can apply for their $750. If they qualify.

This couldn't have happened at a worse time for the people in western NC. We have a dead lame duck President and a lame duck governor who is mostly known for vetoing bills North Carolinians support than he is for representing the people.
He vetoes terrible bills supported by a small percentage of NC residents who control the GA due to gerrymandering. And you have the ability to override every one of those vetoes so NC is entirely controlled by the GOP. You ought to be claiming victories for the response. It would be equally political, but positive for once.

I am sure we can all agree that this administration's response to the hurricane has been abysmal. Or is there some whataboutism and explanations to be shared?

This is why North Carolina ranks so low on K-12 education. We have teachers spending time making fools of themselves on a college basketball message board when they should be focusing on furthering the education of their students.
I posted at 7:49am and 3:17pm yesterday. You don’t even know school hours, let alone understand what’s wrong with public schools. But keep voting Republican so it can get worse.

The best part about this is she says that anyone who is eligible for these crumbs can apply for their $750 online. She says this when people are stranded, haven't had contact with their family, need food and don't have internet.

And anyone that votes for her is just as worthless as she is.

We have had some pretty impactful disasters and Florence was the biggest one of my experiences. We flooded and we were cut off of supplies. It was not a fun experience, me and my wife stayed with friends for almost 3 months, then we stayed in a government provided camper in our driveway for another 3+ months until our house was livable and it was still under construction after that. What they are going through in the mountains is 10× worse than what we went through and the majority of people there aren't going to have adequate insurance to cover their losses.

If you live outside of NC, you may not know how bad it really is in the mountains. What we’ve seen is of Asheville, and it’s awful. They showed videos over the weekend of water up near the rooftop of a McDonald’s. Chimney Rock, a small tourist town near Asheville, is almost gone. Most of it is in Lake Lure. Boone, the home of Appalachian State, was hammered, There are lots of other areas up there that aren’t getting any coverage that are just as bad, maybe worse.
Interstate 40 near the Tennessee border has been severely destroyed. Bridges are gone. So many people are stuck. We don’t know how many may be dead.

It’s so bad up there that I’ve heard multiple reports of men driving to the mountains, and taking pack mules to get supplies to many of the people up there.
It's really bad. There is a picture of a guy who jumped over the center divider and literally put himself in front of oncoming traffic to stop them from driving off of I40 into the river. He saved so many lives.

Just a small example of how bad this is, this is a resident who lives at the top of a hill overlooking Chimney Rock. He has a few videos documenting the storm. Unbelievable stuff.

The first responders in the NC mountains have been private citizens. Some coming from Texas and other far away states. The first 3 days of the rescue attempts have been led by private citizens. On one hand, this is a great story about people helping people. On the other hand, where the hell is the government. But a light compliment from a republican governor is published as "praise for Biden" so this administration is handling it great. DeSantis, the governor of a state that has been tormented by hurricanes for the last 7 years, sent assets and Florida funded aid to NC before an official response plan was announced by this administration. Abysmal. No denying this.

The mountains of NC have been devastated. No surprise, but Sleepy and Cackles were nowhere to be found until the other day. Tik Tok was reporting what was happening in western NC Friday and Saturday. The media called it “Breaking News” on Tuesday. That’s pathetic.

As usual though, one of our resident idiot liberals has to insult Trump. @SDevada, you are a pathetic dipshit.

pp aaa

Seriously. Biden had FEMA in place before the hurricane hit. They had the Navy at their disposal and the states were given whatever they needed. More army personnel is on its way. Both the Republican governor of Georgia and the Democratic governor of NC have praised the administration and, even though you did not bring up Trump, both governors said Trump’s attacks were lies. Biden gives the states FEMA help. Trump throws paper towels.
So. You started with explanations and moved on to whataboutism.

It has been abysmal. And there is no denying this. For the sake of comparison, look at the Katrina response and the number of people affected vs this.

Pre-season preseason record prediction

I'm just not getting the Tar Heel love.
They are returning 3 guards, and RJ Davis is an all American. They obviously need to shore up the 5. The Vandy forward ended the season on a scoring tear. If he continues that, they could be a problem. My guess is sweet 16. They need a solid year from 6-10 center Washington. I think we are better, but not by much. Also the 6-7 GT transfer is decent. They also have 2 top 15 freshman. I usually study their roster to see how we match up.
