Going to make this a fluid thread and update throughout the offseason with roster movement.

NBA draft entries:
Mark Williams (declared 4/18)
Paolo Banchero (declared 4/20)
Wendell Moore Jr. (declared 4/21)
Trevor Keels (declared 4/23)
AJ Griffin (declared 4/24)

NBA Draft recap: Four first-rounders -- Banchero 1st, Williams 15th, Griffin 16th, Moore 26th -- ties a program record, and five picks overall sets a program record. Here's the story from draft night. | Here's the story going into the draft with Chris Carrawell talking about each player.

Exhausted eligibility:
Theo John
Bates Jones

Transfer portal:
Michael Savarino (4/19)
Joey Baker (announced 5/18)

Returning:
Jeremy Roach

April 5th take: This is the lynchpin for what Jon Scheyer's first team looks like. I heard late in the season that Roach was a candidate for the transfer portal, that he and his family were unhappy with how he was used this season. Granted, that was before the NCAA tournament and it wasn't from a source within the program. Feelings obviously could've changed since then. But for now, I wouldn't rule out seeing Roach enter the portal -- which would put Duke in dire need of finding a couple of guards.

April 22 story on Jeremy Roach returning.

**********

Expected back for 2022-23:
Jeremy Roach
Jaylen Blakes
Walk-ons (Borden/Hubbard)

Newcomers for 2022-23:
Dariq Whitehead
Kyle Filipowski
Dereck Lively II
Mark Mitchell
Jaden Schutt
Tyrese Proctor (reclassified from 2023)
Christian Reeves (possible redshirt)
Kale Catchings (Harvard transfer, committed 4/26)
Ryan Young (Northwestern transfer, committed 4/30)
Jacob Grandison (Illinois transfer, committed 6/11)
Max Johns (Princeton graduate transfer, walk-on)

April 5th take: That's a hell of a frontcourt, and Whitehead proved in the McDonald's All-America game and in the Geico nationals that he's got some alpha dog/leadership qualities. I think it's a tossup between him and Filipowski as to who leads this team in scoring next season.

But the guards ... you've got to have more, even if Roach is back as a junior. Scheyer's priority will be first filling out the staff -- even though news of Nolan Smith's departure broke this week, that's a possibility that has been known for months, so it's not as far out of left field as you might think it is -- and then grabbing some experience out of the portal.
