What is your all-time favorite play

in all of sports. What single play did you lose your mind Over the most, if you can only pick one. This may have been done before, but I don’t remember it.

For me......Laettner’s shot.
Man that’s tough. For me there’s several. Of course Laettner’s shot is number one, but also Grant’s alley oop dunk against Kansas and our first ship. Also for me, and the Viking fans are gonna hate this, but Staubach’s Hail Mary to Drew Pearson in the nfc championship in Minnesota. Forget the year, but I was kid then and remember going nuts when that happened.

Losing my mind the first thing that comes to mind is the roughing the passer penalty in the NFL..pick one....(when they started to crack down on it) a year or 2 ago?) it’s not as bad now but yeah.:mad::rolleyes::rolleyes:...my favorite I have no idea

Not really a play, but Lou Gehrig's farewell speech was my favorite moment, or at least my favorite recorded moment.

Maybe Singler going into the stands?

or Haywoods miss.

or any number of Dominik Haseks crazy saves.

Or Shane's block-savebackinbounds.

1.) Shane’s chase down block of Joe Forte against UNC in Chapel Hill. The epitome of what is Duke basketball.

2.). Philly Philly, Dilly Dilly, Philly Special

Nothing beats the 92 shot. Nothing. I’m getting old when I read a poster say they weren’t alive in 92.
Anybody that likes golf has to love the 99 Ryder Cup. Justin Leonard’s 45 ft putt to cap off a comeback and seal the victory for USA was pretty damn exciting to watch.

Not a huge golf fan, but that was an incredible putt.

Love watching his highlights. Never got to see him play but goodness he was unreal. Never seen a guy run as hard as him just for a 5 yard gain. If he ever had a decent line or QB he’d have video game numbers for his career. Almost does anyway.

He was insane to watch. He’d have 15 carries for 20 yards for 3 quarters and finish the game with 182 yards on 22. He was the most dangerously explosive athlete I’ve ever seen.

These are the plays that I lost my mind over when I was watching live (keep in mind I’m in my early 30’s)..

1) Sean Dockery’s half court buzzer beater against VT.

2) The Austin Rivers shot.

3) Zion’s 360 dunk in his first ACC game

Non-Duke play: when Tracy McGrady WENT OFF in the last 36 seconds to beat the SPURS, with the best defensive player in the league (Bowen) guarding him.. I was losing my mind during that.. If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor and watch..

This. More difficult than most things I’ve seen in sports...

What I will remember about Zion is his block of Hunter’s three against Virginia last year

After Laettner’s shot, it’s gotta be the Dockery Shot against Va. Tech!

Another one that might get overlooked was when RJ did a bounce pass between his legs to give it to Reddish, who was trailing behind him and Reddish nails a clutch three to complete the 23 pt comeback against Louisville.

Thornton’s block on Joel Berry at the end of the Duke/unc game in 2016 to win the game at unc.

Love some Barry sanders and bo Jackson highlights.

favorite duke plays
- The Shot
- lance Thomas follow up dunk against Baylor
- battier tap in against U of A
- hill alley oop dunk against Kansas
- tyus 3 pointer to go up 8 against wisky
- Allen steal and dive against wisky

Adrian Peterson fits this

Love that shot but Hurley three against UNLV had to rank up there.Laettners shot was out of this world but him looking at K and telling himnot to worry I got them before the FT’s that put them ahead is pretty cool too

Absolutely, Topps. If we don't win that game who knows how badly that might have changed the course of Duke basketball. The Laettner shot is just so iconic it's hard for me not to pick it. And yeah, Laettner was just the most cool and clutch player I've ever seen. You knew he would deliver.
We're pretty damn lucky to have this hard of time choosing all the impressive plays over the years.
