I don't know...but it was sweet as hell to steal that one.

There have been too many to ever label one as the best ever. But this was a helluva game.

The best game ever tonight. But you are right to many to call overall. I still loved the 3 That Rivers hit in Chapel Hill to rip there hearts out.

This game is definitely up there high on the list but like DukieJay said there have been too many great Duke/UNC games to pick the best Duke/UNC game.

My thoughts: No.

Our M2M defense was suspect and the reason we gave up 62 points in the paint. We missed 15 free throws. Throw in some bone-headed turnovers..... But with that being said, it was fun to watch us battle back and also to see the poise of the freshmen.... Best all-time: not even close. Most fun game of the year: probably. Great win and fighting through adversity

Doubtful. Some seriously clumsy basketball on both sides. It was probably top 10 though.

Great game, but shows how quickly we forget. So, so many great ones over the years, to pick this one would be short sighted.
Go Duke!!!

Maybe not the best, but this was an instant classic that will now be referenced annually in the lead-up to the game along side the other historic moments ( Rivers shot, '98 comeback, etc.).

not even close, but it was a great one. and it easily would have been the greatest game in Big XII history.

It was definitely great in terms of competitiveness. Okafor's injury clearly had a major impact on not only his personal level of play, but on every aspect of the team's performance. It took a lot of guys for Duke to scratch out a game where -- for large segments of the second half -- I was thinking to myself that we'd be far better off with Marshall in there (b/c he'd at least be more active defensively / rebounding than a limited Okafor).

The NCAA tournament is all about competing -- and this Duke team has shown a tremendous ability to compete in the face of adversity.

Classic

Duke

Comeback

- If you have been alive long enough, you almost take these for granted

Coach K fouling down 2 with 45 seconds left a guy who just drilled 2 FTs. Coach K always & forever

The 3 pointer. The equalizer. Duke is the 3 point shot.

Haha. when he did that I was like "what are you doing?!?! And then it worked. Guess that way I should leave coaching the game to one of the best ever

Great game for excitement and incredible come back. Right up there.

But, while I thought UNC played one of their best games of the year, I don't think Duke came close to that (that long stretch of just bad play made it close). And, then, UNC also had some serious mental lapses.

One of the gutsiest Duke wins, that's for sure. I think if Duke plays a great game (like the Wisconsin game or Notre Dame) - even if UNC plays as well as they did - we win by 15-20.

I would agree. I think our best is better than UNC's, and I think their worst is better (or worse, however you want to say it) than ours.

I just read that the Duke/UNC game was the most watched game this season with more than 4 million viewers.

It's one of the best. One we are going to remember for a long time. OFC

It ranks up there, yes there was enough missed free throws and bad turnovers to fill a Uhaul, but putting that aside if you like offense and the excitement of a close game, a tremendous come back and an overtime to ultimately settle it, then this Duke-Carolina game is up there with the best of them.
