UK Misses on Zimmerman...

Hopefully that's a sign to come regarding the remaining uncommitted guys in 2015 class like Ingram. Couldn't happen to a bigger POS than Cal.

They're still recruiting the rest of the top unsigned players - Jaylen Brown, Newman, Diallo, Maker, and Ingram. But it actually looks pretty good as far as UK not landing many of these guys. Diallo will be hard to pull away from St.John's, Ingram will probably stay somewhere in his home state, and Maker may not even play college ball. Newman is looking more like a Miss State signee, but UK is still in the running.... Of the top prospects available, they're most likely to get Jaylen Brown. Hopefully UCLA or Cal can snag him though.

Jamal Murray and Mychal Mulder are a couple of guards that are also being recruited heavily. UK will still be a really, really good team next year, but probably not a top 5 team. At least not without some new commitments.

Alex Poythress: 2012 #8 recruit and projected lottery pick. Now, a 2nd round projection even before he was injured.

Julius Randle: 2013 #1 overall recruit and projected top 2 pick. Selected 7th overall.

*Andrew Harrison: 2013 #5 recruit and projected mid 1st round. Now, late 2nd round to undrafted.

*Aaron Harrison: 2013 #7 recruit and projected mid 1st round. Now, projected to go undrafted

Dakari Johnson: 2013 #9 recruit and projected lottery pick. Now, projected 2nd round.

*Couldn't have happened to two more deserving prima donnas.

I believe for most UK fans, the miss on Thorne JR was a bigger surprise. While he wasn't expected to come in and become an elite talent, he was going to be that big body to add depth.. There's not much out there in regards to that left.

That's a little harsh to say America hates the Harrison's.

Duke has missed its fair share of elite talent.

Duke also has the same type threads said about it every year.

Nah it won't be a sign of things to come. I don't like Cal, but I don't think he's a POS or anything.


Duke has certainly and continues to know it's fair share of hate for being the best. That said it was great to see the harrison twins lose!

I liked WCS, Poythress, Ullis, Dakari, Marcus Lee though.
