First of all this needs to stay in house and I need everyone to be discreet and keep it on this board. The consequences could be devastating to our program. I ran into a Duke fan/friend today. In fact his name is Duke. Duke is a clock operator for local high school football games. He and I both are friends with the clock operator for all the Duke football home games. Duke knows a lot of of officials and he could be a money runner for us this year. Duke says he knows there is plenty of money set back. Enough to not lose a basketball game to UNC for a long while so that is not the issue. I'm beginning to think that the whole UNC nation is suspecting foul play. The two come from behind wins basketball wins last year were under their microscope. To sum it up I think someone here has let the cat out of the bag about paying the officials. My question is should we take our chances this year and just go on our talent and Coach K's coaching or go ahead and assure victory by paying up. I do feel that we are now being taken advantage of by the officials. Their asking price has gone out of the roof and frankly I'm not sure we do that to us. The one guy we could never pay off anyway (Karl Hess) is no longer doing ACC games due to the fact that Coach K saw that he was given the old heave ho.I know it is illegal for what the officials are doing to us I think it's called extortion. Perhaps one of you from our legal board can help out with this. I want to know how all of you feel about this. Should we keep paying or let the talent and Coach K do their thing. I need to make clear that Coach K, his coaching staff, his players or anyone else associated with the Duke program know of these payoffs. I'm kind of at a loss and a little paranoid. Once again please be discreet when talking to folks outside this board. I'm too old to do time. ;):):D:oops:o_O OFC

If you do time, it will definitely be in solitary.

I think that if we refrain from using cash we could be all right. Perhaps we could insure that they were supplied with some great pork bar-b-que for a year, maybe some fresh eggs and vegetables delivered on a weekly basis. Who could accuse us of influencing officials with que and eggs? Just thinking out of the box

What if we offer to pay them Tuesday for the "hamburger" today? Perhaps a layaway or installment option is available. I can draw up the papers.

They only want cash. Hidden income. OFC

Now I know why that check I sent you last week hasn't been cashed yet. I trust you Sky, and if you think they're on to us they probably are.

I'd go code orange-red, backslash yellow tweety bird. That should be all you need to know.

Oh yeah, white husky pie-eating hog....for those that couldn't distinguish the first flag.

Sky if you are asking if we should go it on talent and Coach K alone the answer is a pretty simple no. Haven't you considered that UNC already has far superior returning talent compared to us and with the talent pool Roy has to choose from of eager 2, 3 and 4 star players who will soon be some of the very best players in the land. There is no way we stand a chance without paying the officials and the clock operator a fortune. IMO and my opinion alone we have no other recourse to pay whatever it takes. Again this is IMO and my opinion alone.

Amateur. Never leave a paper trail. :)

To expand on Darkhorse's idea. A nanner pudding down payment may put the dogs on a different scent, leaving an opening to execute our game plan. Just food for thought.

Maybe we need Pitino hire escorts to sleep with our refs this year? Something new

Money = Speech. How can bribing basketball officials be illegal? It's just an exercise of 1st amendment rights. Like bribing elected officials.

I mean these refs need to worry about sending their kids to college and about retirement. How else are they going to get the dough?

Am I right?

sky if u promise not to disclose any of the info that I give you.I can run the money thru some off shore accounts that are untraceable

That's great. One thing that is really concerning me now is that UNC nation has gotten a whiff of these payments for the last 36 years and are going for it all. They have a lot more money than we do. We may have to rely on talent alone . OFC

why risk the digital trail...just walk up and hand the refs cash, no body will notice they'll be too busy looking at their cell phones.
