In terms of a coaching transition, I’m not sure there has ever been a more successful one prior to a game being play than the one Duke has pulled . Obviously to have the continued absolute dominance in recruiting is a major accomplishment.

Many months to go before the season starts, and we get a look at the style of play he will use going forward. I’m sure he’ll continue many of the systems and approaches he learned as a player/assistant. I’m also sure his style will be unique in ways, and exciting to see how that unfolds.

I do look at the 2023 class and get very pumped about the guard combination of Proctor and Foster. Both can actually, truly and play the 1 & 2 which is a compliment given far too generously given typically. That versatility in todays game is so important.

I also think he will put a tremendous emphasis on shooting, even more so than Duke has done in the passed few years. This falls team definitely has that attribute well covered.
