You all have heard the old question..."If you could invite 4 People to dinner...."

Well this time let's make it Duke

If you could invite 5 Players (DUKE) One from each Position, to dinner (with drinks) who would it be? And for this response, we need a short "why". I will lead off

C - Brian Zoubek - Toughest choice here. - I Love Laettner, and would chose him if it was a 1 on 1 but he may start sh*t with the other guests or spit in their fries or something, especially after a few beverages.
PF - Jay Bilas - Dude has the gift of being an epic storyteller
SF - Shane Battier - Being in the presence of Genius (Or close to it) is always a good thing.
SG - JJ Redick - I always thought he was down to earth and genuine and we've chewed some of the same Roanoke area dirt.
PG - Grant Hill (Hey he was PG mostly, in '94) - Favorite players get a seat at the head of the Table (And someone has to pay...)

Do the players have to have played the position that we put them in our 5 picks because I have 2 players that I want to put in my 5 for a reason but they played the same position when they were at Duke at different times.

Coach K doesn't label positions. I actually have two pf's if you consider Bilas a pf but actually he played the center position at Duke. Same with Grant. He played different positions at Duke. Zion proved he could step outside and take the 3, take the ball down the court with a pretty good handle. Nolan could play both guard positions and we all know that Marshall has the highest career 3 point percentage of all Duke players. :);) OFC

The reason I asked is because 2 of the players on my list were both point guards and I couldn’t decide, so I’m just putting both on my list. Also I decided to put together 2 lists. One that is all 4 year players and one that is all OAD players except for one player that was 2AD.

Well let's see what you got. OFC

4 year players-to hear stories about their 4 years at Duke
————————
PG-Bobby Hurley
SG-Johnny Dawkins
SF-Grant Hill
PF-Shane Battier
C-Christian Laetner

OAD players-to hear stories about them playing together or against each other before they got to Duke and playing together while they were at Duke and stories about Tyus and Tre playing together growing up
———————
PG-Tre Jones
SG-Tyus Jones
SF-RJ Barrett
PF-Zion Williamson
C-Jahlil Okafor

Pg- Nolan Smith I think he’d be hilarious to be around
SG- JJ- my favorite pre Zion
SF- Grayson- I’m taking liberties putting him at SF but want to get him in
PF-Zion- he’s my favorite player, from close by and seems awesome. Will end up the GOAT
C- Mason Plumlee- went to school in Arden so I count him as a hometown boy

Come to think of it I'd like to get Grayson there to get his take on the whole Tripgate thing.
