The ACC: First Weekend

So the first weekend is officially in the books....and the ACC went a very impressive 11-1. It's the first time five teams from the same conference are in the Sweet 16 since the Big East accomplished the feat in 2009.

One clarification: That was the old Big East in 2009.

Actually, I could have lived with 9-2 and a Harvard win.

I just read an article that talked about the possibility of there being an all ACC Final Four and it also talked about the times in the past that the ACC had 2 teams make it to the Final Four. It's happened 5 times over the last 3+ decades.

1981-UVA and UNC
1990-Duke and Georgia Tech
1991-Duke and UNC
2001-Duke and Maryland
2004-Duke and Georgia Tech

Let's hope we make it a 6th time this year.
