Swanigan Decommitted from MSU?

The first i'm hearing this, maybe he's reconsidering going to California with Rabb and Brown?

I can't see him coming to Duke, our front court is packed.

Big mistake to reconsider. Izzo will do great things with him.

Would love to have him here, but I have a better chance of hitting the lottery. I could definitely see him going to Cal, but dang am I curious as to what happened at MSU? He would fit in with MSU and Izzo like a glove.

I'm hearing he's still 100% in to MSU but somehow his legal guardian situation messed up the LOI.

he looked horrible in all the all star games he played in (McDonalds and Nike Summitt)...def going to be a four year player

def one of those players that is overhyped and belongs outside the top 20

Hope he stays there. Kind of strange. I think he'd be perfect for MSU and MSU is the best fit for him. His game will be rebounding and power moving forward toward the NBA and he's in no better hands than Izzo from that perspective.

not sure why he would be looking hard at purdue..... michigan state is the perfect fit for this kid imo

I was surprised when Swanigan initially committed to MSU. He's said publicly that he wants to be one and done. Izzo doesn't typically land that type of player.

Apparently his guardian has a Purdue connection which is the reason for his interest in both Purdue and Cal due to coach Cuonzo Martin formerly at Purdue.

Dan Dakich says Purdue is a done deal

That's the answer... But the question is why now ?? What changed ? Dan the man with Breaking news. “@dandakich: Swanigan to Purdue is done”

Does Purdue? I have a feeling there may be forces other then Swanigan's personal preferences driving this decision. Regardless of where he goes, I don't think Swanigan's even remotely close to being a OAD. I'm frankly not even sure he'll ever be a high-level NBA prospect.

No, Purdue doesn't either. His legal guardian is a guy named Roosevelt Barnes, who played football at Purdue. So your feeling is probably right.

Any chance he gives us another look?[/QUOTE]

Personally, I hope not. Never was that impressed with him and I don't think "K" would take a second look. Time to move on, let him go to Purdue or Cal, I like what we have down low.
Go Duke!!
