Great day of games tomorrow! Time for college basketball to get part of the main stage as there really isn't any football tomorrow.

For Duke's sake, I will be rooting against all of the top teams: especially Kentucky, Alabama, Gonzaga, Marquette, and Kansas. Auburn I don't really care since we beat them and want that win to look as good as possible.

DukeDallas these are the teams I am pulling for tomorrow:

Memphis (Go Nolan Smith)
Texas A & M (Go Henry Coleman III)
Ohio State (Go Sean Stewart)
Xavier
Butler
Arizona (need them to start getting some signature wins, a win against ranked UCLA is a Start)
NC State (down with Kansas and Let's Go ACC!)
Arizona State (Go Bobby Hurley)
Southern Miss
Louisville (down with Kentucky and makes the win over Louisville look better)
Illinois (don't really root for Illinois even though I've lived here my whole life, but down with Tennessee)
McNeese
Dayton
Connecticut
Oklahoma State
Creighton

Not rooting for Clemson? We need some strong performances by our ACC brethren (well, except UNCheats) to boost our stock in the NCAA seeding session, as well as help recruit players who might otherwise want to go to the Big 10 Whatever, SEC or Big 12 Whatever.

Whether we win or lose against the ACC teams isn’t going to depend on their rankings, but wins and losses against ranked teams are better than wins or losses against unranked teams.

Jeff, valid points, but as long as Duke is not the team being upset, I usually root for the upset to happen.

Halftime

Memphis - 33 (made 3 point buzzer beater off a steal to go into the half)
Clemson - 32

Very good battle going on between these teams. Very minimal student fans present at Little John today. Christian Reeves got some minutes in the 1st half for Clemson (good for him). 3 players with the last name of Hunter playing in this game, 2 for Clemson, and one for Memphis (I know, I know, pointless information haha).

Memphis @ Clemson Update

Clemson had the final possession in regulation with 12 seconds to go and they settled for a very deep 3 pointer instead of attacking the rim. Found out the two Hunter Players for Clemson are brothers.

Tied Game 72 All, Off to Overtime we go!

Memphis gets a Resume Builder Win @ Clemson, 87-82 in Overtime. This was a very high level game with both teams making winnings plays throughout the 45 minutes of game action. Ultimately, Clemson made too many costly turnovers in OT.

Memphis: Tyrese Hunter is a Player. Hunter can shoot the 3 ball very well (he had 7 in today's game) and is their Leader.

Clemson: Gritty, Tough Hard-Nosed Team. Duke is going to have to bring their workman like lunch pails with them when they travel to Little John Coliseum in early February.

We needed Clemson to win. Duke now has less room for error.

Halftime

Auburn - 49
Ohio State - 21

Auburn is taking the buckeyes to the woodshed. Broome has 17 points and 14 rebounds at halftime. Sean Stewart has spent some time "trying" to defend Broome. Auburn is full court pressing Ohio State and the buckeyes have broken the press at times, but they are very bad on the offensive end. Broome has outrebounded Ohio State by himself! Stewart is getting minutes, he still looks very raw on the basketball court. He's bricked two free throws and he had a nice steal & dunk poster.

Auburn is a very good team! Cannot undervalue the win Duke had against Auburn nor the job Brown did in defending Broome in Cameron. Both Brown and Duke have defended Auburn better than any opponent Auburn has faced this season.

Mac, I don't see Clemson falling out of the Top 25 with the loss today. The telecasters during the game even said Memphis is a Top 25 team (currently Memphis is ranked between 26th and 28th). From what I have watched of the ACC Teams so far, I think Duke and Clemson are the two best teams in the ACC.

Clemson losing is brutal

I understand Clemson losing today gives more ammunition for the critics to talk about "how down" the ACC is, but if Clemson handles business at South Carolina on Tuesday night, I don't see the loss hurting Clemson nor the ACC to the magnitude some on here are thinking it will.

The loss at Boise State earlier in the season for Clemson hurts the ACC and Clemson more imo.

Clemson's signature wins so far are winning the MTE Tournament they were in, they defeated Penn State in the Championship game. The win against Kentucky in Little John.

Their "bad losses", @ Boise State (bad), the loss today (although I don't see the loss being as bad as some on here think it is), Memphis is a Top 25 Men's Basketball Team based off the eye test at this point in the season.

Hopefully Clemson handles business at South Carolina on Tuesday night in that rivalry game.

I get what you’re saying. But, Clemson appears to be one of the few good teams in a very weak conference. I’ll never pull for the tar holes, but I wanted Clemson to win today.

And we needed them to win, even more so cause it was at their place.

Final

#17 Texas A & M - 70
#11 Purdue - 66

Texas A & M plays very good defense and the Aggies get their 3rd win over the Big10 for the season.

Another bad day for ACC, this will be one of the worst ACC seasons that I can remember. Cuse lose to Georgetown, Clemson lose to Memphis, NC State beat down by Kansas and Louisville losing again to their hated rival. Seriously ACC will be very lucky to get 4 teams in the dance out of 18 teams. ACC is a mid major league now.

This is essentially why Duke needs to only lose 2 or 3 games at most, in conference.

I think maybe if Brownell takes a TO in the game's waning minute, and sets up a play Clemson wins. They ended up taking a very poor shot. I was pulling for Clemson to help keep KY elevated after they defeated us, but lost to Clemson.

Clemson lost at home, Arizona lost, Louisville lost. NC State got crushed by Kansas (Dickinson kicked out again). Syracuse lost to freaking Georgetown. GT lost to Northwestern.

We need to go 18-2 in the ACC this year. This very well could be a 3-4 bid league, especially if UNC continues to struggle.

UCLA beats Arizona. That Biledeau kid is like a way more talented Ryan Young. I saw him play for Oregon St. last year.
