Roy Williams: I should be fired

This is going to sound mean but here it is: Shut up and coach, Roy. The melodramatic "I'm the worst coach ever" pity party is as tired as him throwing his own players under the bus. I could never be a UNC fan. This would do my head in.

That rabid fanbase has the nerve to make fun of K with their little Leader of Men dig. First of all he was (Army Captain) and still the leader of young men at the most well known university in America.

Give me a leader all day and twice on Sunday instead of a whiner, blame thrower, and a feel sorry for me, I'm about to cry coach of a well known cheating establishment. He actually has the nerve to talk about the least talented group in one presser and the next thing he failed them when they needed a win. Drama Queen Roy!

He really said that? Don't put it off on bubba. Be a man a just quit right now. By doing that you can honor dean smith by not breaking his win total. Just think how great that would be? dean smith and hof coach roy williams tied with 879 wins each. But that's hof coach roy williams for ya. Go put it off on someone else and make him look like the bad guy. He's wanting sympathy now. Now really what if bubba did fire him? I can just see unc cheater nation now. " bubba done went and fired our hall of fame coach. bubba needs to go. " It's like everything else that goes wrong with his basketball team he's gonna put it off on others. Yespecially I know he stated that he was to blame for the Clemson loss. Bull crap. He still keeps talking about his players. Everyone of them should walk off the court next game and see how hof coach roy williams reacts to thst. He's a joke just like the majority of the posters at thr. He's probably a thr poster. Sorry guys I'm in rare form today. When I read the " bubba shoulds fire me" quote I could not believe my eyes. But what it comes down to is. He can't help it. He's a tar heel fan. It's his nature. If my math is right it's been three games since hof coach roy williams tied dean smith in total wins. He has made it known that he takes no pleasure in passing dean. Even with the injuries he has he should have won both games. They were at home and he had nice leads in both. We all know how much he admired dean. Could he be.... naw he couldn't be..... I'm not gonna say the word but. Hmmm? OFC

I live statements that coaches or other figures of authority put out there. “If I was him, I’d fire me” or some bs like that. It’s like this, if you truly felt that way, if you truly felt you weren’t the best person for the job, you’d go ahead and resign. But that’s not what he really means. Just throwing a pity party and fishing for compliments/sympathy. It’s embarrassing, you’re a grown ass man, act like one. I didn’t meant to go into a rant, but I hate stuff like this.

I totally agree. Someone tell me if I'm wrong about this but in his post game did he even say anything about Clemson having a good game and just went out and beat the heels. Sore loser. Always has been. OFC

I never listened to HOF Roy's press conferences until this month. What I have learned from these oratory gems is the following:

1. HOF Roy should be fired.
2. I tell my players what to do but they don't listen. Can't do anything about their stupidity/lack of skill and athleticism.
3. There wasn't another team on the court. Just our team not listening to their coach.

It's all about Roy, always has and always will be. The man should've been fired a long time ago due to the scandal he helped facilitate.

What's funny is the TurdHeels haven't reached the difficult part of the ACC schedule. I wonder if Roy is going to put his walk ons in and leave the game early at FSU like he did a few years ago.

exactly! His coaching skills are definitely not HOF worthy as of late. Unless Ol Roy has a ton of talent that sticks around as upperclassmen, this is what you get. With the class he has coming in next season, I wonder how many stick around as juniors and seniors. This class is critical for Ol Roy in terms of getting another title. If Love and some of the bigs don't stick around, Roy is toast.

I suspect if Anthony doesn't come back (and why should he?), HOF Roy will just play young guys and start talking about next year. What else can he do?

I wouldn't be shocked to hear him say more than once "I'm going to stick this out, I'm not going to fake a back injury". You all know what I'm talking about. Sickening.
 
We as Duke fans have tended to underestimate Roy and some of his coaching accomplishments. But Roy the person comes across an absolute jerk who I would have no pleasure meeting! In coach K, we have a national treasure of a human being who goes out of his way to promote his players, fellow coaches and the countless people he has helped through charity work!
