One game does not define a season nor determine the outcome. ND is a heck of a team that had a great game plan last night. If anything, this will help Duke in the tournament b/c K will have an adjustment ready if someone else makes it Jah vs. the other team. If this season has taught us anything, it's that K will make the necessary adjustments. IMO, this has been one of K's best coaching jobs given all the adjustments he's made.

Duke will be fine.

Even with ND's terrific game plan, Duke might have still been okay if they didn't have their statistically worst shooting day of the season from three. This is not the first time this season that a team decided not to double Jahlil so they could guard the three point line, but it is the first time Duke missed 14 out of 17.

I'm certainly not on the ledge like some here, but what really bothers me about this loss is how uninterested our guys looked in the first half. Credit to ND, sure, but Duke simply didn't want it at all in the first half. It's disheartening to see us play to our potential in so many recent games and then come out in a tournament game so stagnant after putting on an absolute clinic the day before.

What better get across to the entire team is have that mindset in the tourney and we are one and done.

Nothing that happened last night has any bearing on the future of this team's season. Let's face it, Duke blew them out by 30 last time. Notre Dame was primed for this game. Lets also face this fact: this Duke team has been quite underwhelming following strong performances. Cook has acknowledged this fact and it hasnt gone away for the most part. All things considered, with a clear head, you could see this was going to be an uphill battle. Unfortunately, the team fell down the hill. Going forward, the team has to play with urgency. When this team wants to play, it's better than most anyone in the country. I also think Coach K has some tough decisions going forward with Okafor. Can he be out there at the end of a close game? Common sense says yes, you're best player should always be out there. Unfortunately his confidence at the free throw line is lower than any player I've ever seen. His stroke looks nothing like it looked at the beginning of the season. The arc in his shot is insane. No one can have any confidence that he could hit any free throw at any time. Im just not sure anyone will be able to stomach a situation where the season ends on missed Okafor free throws, knowing what we already know.

This team has shown it can play really well when they believe there's something to prove. I don't think Duke felt like it had much to prove against Notre Dame last night. Jah proved he could dominate their bigs, but no one seemed to be out to prove we can shut down penetration. We had already proved that against State.

I do think that Duke is determined to prove something in the Dance; I hope this translates to the kind of success we are expecting. When we defend like we did against the Pack, we are a steam roller.

Every time Quinn took one of his open wing 3's I was just on the edge of my seat. He normally nails them all day. Last night after the first two didn't go in, I knew it was trouble. Had he hit only two of his like 7 or 8 attempts, it would have been a different game IMO

One of his best ever IMO. OFC

I would imagine that whoever Duke plays in the tournament will employ the same defensive strategy ND did. Duke needs to make that a priority this week in practice. They've proven they can win against that tactic.

Last night sucked plain and simple but this team is still very capable of winning the national championship this year. Our 12 game win streak was ended but that just means it's time to end the season with a new 6 game win streak and title #5.
