A new potential target to get to know is 6-10 David McCormack from Norfolk, VA. I watched him workout for three hours a few weeks ago. Here is a high level overview
- 6-10 and 285 pounds. Kid is a true center all the way
- Sophomore is one of the top two rated 10th graders in the state (Keldon Johnson is the best)
- Strong, bulldozer type inside that plays with a high motor. Prefers to drop step and pivot his way around the paint for scores using his size and sheer strength
- Think Mike Sweetney from Georgetown in terms of a comparison for him.
- Holds offers from NC State, Georgetown, Va Tech, Penn State and others. Interest from UNC, Maryland, Xavier and Virginia. Definitely a high major center.
- Plays AAU with Team Loaded (VA)
- Likes Duke a lot and wouldn't be surprised to see him visit unofficially soon.
