Cooper Flagg - What's motivating me to comment here is I greatly appreciate sportsmanship. I missed the last 15 minutes of the second half, but caught the highlight of Flagg posterizing ( I hate that term, but for context....) a Pitt defender. Flagg had the opportunity to flex, stare and humiliate the defender but realized the play spoke for itself and didn't add to it with self-indulging antics.

Coach Scheyer - I'm super impressed with your team. This was my first opportuity to see Duke play since Coach K retired. I'm sure you guys already know, but the two signatures I see with Coach Scheyer is ball movement on offense and defensive consistency.

Offensively there appears to be less individual play and less dribbling/1-on-1 in half court sets and everyone has the ability and IQ to identify and get the ball to the open man. Sounds simple, but typically you have 2, maybe 3 capable of this. Duke has four on the court capable of making the right swing pass on each posession, hence high team assist numbers.

Defense - Duke defended as hard former UVA coach Tony Bennett's team used to. No team had shut down Pitt's guards as effectively as Duke did today. Driving lanes were closed and passing lanes were as well. Even routine dribble drive kick outs were defended very hard.

Well wishes for the rest of the season and hopefully you can win a championship for the ACC.

Thank You for your kind compliments. Best of Luck to You and Your Pitt Panthers the remainder of the season.

Hopefully, we get a Round 2 matchup between Duke and Pitt in the ACC Tournament
