Soooo very happy for Patrick Cantlay! Patrick took the very best DeChambeau had to offer, stared near certain defeat in the face and whipped the super over inflated ego Bryce in an epic sudden death playoff for the BMW Championship. All the marbles next week for Fed Ex Finals! Just when you thought Bryce Cant-lay an egg, he did! It was GREAT AND MEMORABLE GOLF, despite my distate for DeChambeau. However, it was fitting, the GOOD GUY WON!

You make me feel better about watching the entire back nine and playoff. I would like to try a few putts on the 18th green. Cantlay repeatedly came up at least a full club short. For such a spectacular player, Cantlay hits too many irons fat. And Dechambeau must shorten one of his wedges. A top ten player should not putt from ten feet off the green. Sorry for the negativity. Otherwise, they were almost perfect. Shooting 27 under and not winning. Wow! Most of the players are too nice. I would try to get Dechambeau more frustrated than he already is

Its almost comical how bad his chipping is. He can hit it a million yards but has no touch. I don’t like this guy. He seems like a complete douche

KD he really is. I know he gets heckled by galleries, but guy has brought it on himself. His actual game can be a beautiful thing to watch, but he's just a jerk. He refused a post round presser Saturday and Sunday. OFC

Being a card carrying a-hole myself, I like Bryson. He makes things more interesting.
GAAP CANNOT ARGUE, "Brooksie" does "make things more interesting! " TV golf needs such an injection of sideshow antics for ratings! OFC

Every sport needs its villains. Def like having him around.
Most of you guys aren't old enough to remember the old Jack-Arnie battles. When Nicklaus came along as the heir apparent to Palmer, "Arnie's Army" (which included myself), loathed Jack! TV ratings were at an all time high for golf!Rivallries, subplots are a good thing.

Theres more drama ahead this week hopefully, as we crown a Fed Ex Cup winner. Then, who will U.S. captain Steve Stricker team Bryson up with in Rydee Cup play??? Great time of year, golf's climax, baseball pennant races and football starting! OFC

Bryson can’t get out of his own way. If he just let his play do the talking. Kept hitting bombs and cut out the petty bs he’d be likable.
Golf is one of the last competitive sports where integrity and good character remain in tact. It's great to watch because you see very little participents showing their rear end when things don't go their way. I guess Bryson just can't help it. It's his nature. Bless his heart OFC

I was pulling for Bryson also. It's amazing he can hit those narrow fairways getting as much distance as he does. The most important club for the pros is the putter as Cantley proved, because they can all hit the ball. I want to see Brooks and Bryson paired together. It will be must see tv.

Based on what I’ve read Bryson has some ocd going on so when things don’t go as planned. eg can’t lay walking around as he’s addressing the ball. He’s liable to go ape sh—. I think he’s trying to do the right thing but he’s got his quirks that are going to rear their head occasionally

OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) can be quite difficult to overcome. I think what you read is probably right on target, as DeChambeau's EXTREMELY hyper-sensitive with concentration and control issues in his play.

Obviously it isnt the fatal flaw to Bryce's game- look at his success!! So actually a little OCD channeled correctly can be a good thing! Obviously though, he needs to amp it down a little. If Bryce possesses (as the late tour player turned commentator Dave Marr) termed "bionic hearing," that can only continue to be problematic.

Incidentally, the PGA Commissioner has banned chants of "Brooksie" at its events. I kid you not. This should only help Bryce's game, although I heard his fellow competitors are really having fun with the announcement.

Yeh ive had issues with ocd myself so ican sympathize with Bryson. We can’t all be Michael jordan or Tom Brady. Most of us are just doing the best we can on a day to day basis

Very well said KD. OCD if in relatively small doses, like I said CAN be a good thing. It can pay off to pay much attention to detail. If it GETS IN WAY of work, performance, concentration however - then it can snowball. Fortunately theres meds on the market targeted toward it, and talk therapy can be very helpful. OFC

Should be a good tour championship. If Cantley has a really good first round he may be hard to catch. Three shot lead on Tony Finau when they tee off
