My Final Four experience.

I had some buddies here ask me about my Final Four experience. I worked the Final Four with a media website that covers Duke. I was able to do some work for them as well as have the opportunity to capture some of my own memories of my 1st Final Four experience. I will share some pics and videos here. I was able to walk on the court after the celebration and I captured on my iphone some good shots and videos. I will post here some of my stuff as I get time today. We went to bed at 5:30 after the national championship and was up at 9:00 getting ready for the 10 hour drive home. I am exhausted at work today...but I wouldn't trade the trip for nothing in my life. It's one of the top 3 (maybe #1) events of my life. I hope you enjoy the pics and videos soon to follow.

I was able to capture up close the Duke team reaction to One Shining Moment being played. I was right up at where the Duke players were standing on stage. The video starts with Winslow and Matt Jones dancing to Wobble song and then gets going into One Shining Moment.

I have followed Quinn Cook's career since he was playing at Oak Hill. Guys that come or play from the VA/MD area such as Redick and Nolan I feel even more connected to. Cook was one of those players as well. Here is a video I shot in the locker room of an emotional Cook after the game. Was able to get in 1 question with him close to the end of the video. There are other player videos I captured but this was the only one that I can go public with.

Like I said...

Some of this is from my experience and may not be of interest to you but this video means something to me. I was filming K leaving the media room on the golf cart and as they drove by I gave him the thumbs up and he gave me the head nod. Thought it was cool he tries to acknowledge everybody even when he is being swamped by the media.

Awesome Skee!! My two brothers and I went for the first time and even though we didn't get your experience from it. We still had an epic trip. First time in Indy as well and it was pretty convenient with everything being in one general location. When Duke makes it back I would encourage anybody to do it. We sat in the 500 level side view and actually didn't mind the view.

The downer is that you don't get to experience the volume of the crowd noise like you do in a nba arena.

I got there Sunday, and had a great two days in Indy. Was well worth all of the layovers! Was great winning a title in a home game for Wisconsin.

I will get more stuff up as I get time. Came home back to the day job and the business I run....so not much time to enjoy the moments..but I will this weekend look back on the experience and post some pics here.

The biggest Duke supporter was in attendance at the game as well! Crazy Towel Guy.

These were selling for $5....

After UK lost.. they were selling for a $1. I had to buy a few lol!
 
Not the best quality..but Tyus and the team coming back out for the 2nd half of the championship game.

Keep 'em comin', Skee! We're not tired (at least I'm not) of seeing all the pics and videos there are of Duke and the championship. It hasn't even been 4 days since the championship...I'm still on a high, and it'll continue for a lot longer!

And thanks for posting all these, and for your time, Skee. I know how long it can take when you're posting a lot of pics.

Sounds good!

Normally I would have had all pics and videos up in a day or 2. But I took so many. And I got home and had to hit the ground running with my day job and business.

Oh yeah! I'm the same! I'm not coming down off this high of winning the national championship for a long time! I'm truly going to enjoy this one! These last few years it has been on my mind and heart to see K win at the least one more and have 5 banners in Cameron. To actually be at the game and have a behind the scenes look at everything was easily the #1 thing that has ever happened in my life! I'll post more stuff this weekend.
