I went to college in Northern New Jersey just a short train ride into NYC. Many weekends I spent in the City. Many of my classmates and friends went on to work in NYC.
On 9/11, I recall watching on the TV and like of us I was in disbelief and horrified by the events as they happening. Watching it live, I feel cause all of us some degree of trauma.
I starting making calls and reaching out to those who worked in the City. At that time it was difficult to get in contact or any info. I can remember and still feel those eerie feelings as I was getting notified of my friends that were missing. With each day as time passed I got word of my friends that perished in that tragedy.
Here we are 20 years later and although I shiver in thought on the events, I say a prayer and shed tears in memories of my friends and a family member who passed.
I miss you all.
