Came across this video of Jay's High School days where he and two other students were interviewing a handful of students. Looks like he always enjoyed speaking in front of the camera - amazing how he keeps a straight face.

that's funny all the 80s movies make me wish I grew up then haha.. From that video the teacher said he made 26,000 a year which to me is crazy because starting teaching pay in NC is 28,000 right now lol

^Yeah, I thought that was interesting too. He did say he teaches drivers ed though, which I'm sure provides a little more salary + living in LA has a higher cost of living. But I used the inflation calculator, and 26K in 1981 is about 67K today, which is certainly a nice salary for a high school teacher.
