The bad thing about last night is that Utah put out a clinic on how to double team okafor. They did an amazing job on him last night, he had nowhere to go most of the night. they mapped out his tendencies on where he likes to throw the ball out of the double team and stole it quite a bit when he did . Really hoping gonzaga doesn't take the same approach Utah does because we definitely missed his points

It's going to be tough but he has to try to set up more to the block and as bilas and a few others have mentioned all year he has to be quicker to make his moves. His backing in plays into the double team so he has to be quicker .. Also he has to make the passes quicker and with some ball fakes. K and capel and the rest of the staff know more than I amd I am sure they will have a plan. Chris burgess in an article said that utahs coach k is the best he's ever see or worked with in preparing a team to tendencies. And what other teams will do. So last night proved that. But I think we will be prepared. On a side note the burgess interview was pretty good. Spoke highly of his Duke experience and roots for them except for when they play Utah. He has coached with coach krystov.

Would love to see Okafor be a little quicker with his decision making when he gets the ball, and also be a little more physical and quicker to the block.
I also think that one thing is lost in his decision making from earlier in the year, and that is, when the entry pass is made, nobody is setting up to receive it back and shoot, except the guy in the opposite corner, which is where Jah keeps throwing the ball. Everyone seems to be watching him more, instead of moving to the open spot.
Still, this is just another experience for this young team, and I really look for (must have) a big game from him Sunday!
Go Duke!!

Every time he's double teamed, someone else is open. They can limit him to scoring nothing and we can still win. Just by being on the court, he makes everyone else better. Not worried!

Well, color me WORRIED. That was a blueprint I think other teams will follow. In a normal arena we could punish the double team with threes, but we all know how hard it is to shoot at this god awful cavern of a stadium. And maybe I am in the minority here, but seeing us be forced to bench Jah with 2 minutes left so he wouldn't get "hack-a-for" was really worrisome... The Utah coach was heard yelling to "Hack-a-shaq"... and they did. In a one point game with a few seconds left and Jah has the ball in the paint, I really worry about the other team fouling him. REALLY WORRIED...

From everything I've seen of Duke leading up to the Zags........ I'm not worried about a thing!! Sure the Zags can learn from it..... But so can K and the best post man in the tourney !!! Shots will fall tomorrow.

I'd be a lot more worried if we had to play against Jahlil. He's a smart kid; he'll adjust.
