Went with Goldy with the perfect offensive game going 5-5 and 3-3 form 3 point land.
Big honorable mentions to Hurt and Javin with the FT's at the end

Team effort.

Not one individual really stood out but Goldwire and it was needed.

Mine would be split. Goldwire, Alex and Hurt.

JGOLD had a great game but I gave my vote to Hurt. That's the Hurt we need for the rest of the year. He played tough and took his shot with confidence. He just needs to be more consistent and man what a weapon he would be.

Went with other or IMO, all. Complete team win tonight. Too many small and large contributions to keep track of.

I voted Goldwire because I usually cringe whenever he shoots 3’s but tonight I was hoping he would keep taking and making them because he made some big shots when we needed them

Goldwire. Loved what Alexand Hurt brought. That was the epitome of a game that is supposed to be too physical for them. Really what we need from them.

Jordan... if he can keep developing any sort of offensive game (as he has been), defenses won’t be able to slack on him and it’ll open up the court so much more!

Big prop to Hurt as well! He’s been struggling and he could have had a woah is my approach, but he kept working and had a great game last night! Lets hope this is the start of something with him

I went with other. Jordan, Alex, Javin, Hurt all had amazing contributions that lead to our big win. Also have to credit the coaching staff for having our team mentally tough enough to win this game after Saturday. Tre was visibly gassed but did enough good things to offset some of the awful turnovers. Overall, it was a gutsy team win- other is my vote.

Goldwire gets the gameball for sure. I’m very for the player he has molded into. Didn’t like that turnover in the crucial part of the game, but we got the W and that’s all that matters!

I voted Hurt just for the last play. I mean was it a big play...sure. But the truly great thing is that it puts Duke into the national spotlight so all the haters can start singing about non-calls and dirty play etc. I was beginning to worry that the haters were gone this year. Thank you Matt Hurt!

Any word on Goldwire? He went out towards the end of the game (not sure if he took a shot to the nuts or what, but he was squatting on the court and limped off).

Yes, Goldy gets the game ball

Cramps.

I voted for other. Just so many different plays / sequences made by different guys. It was the definition of a team win on a night when Tre and Vernon weren’t their ‘usual’ selves.

Our defense was really good. Jordan was spectacular. AOC made big buckets at crucial times. Matthew finally played like we need him to play. Javin made big plays down the stretch. The coaches. What about Wendell’s reverse layup?

Last night was the definition of a team win, IMO. We were running on fumes and needed every big play that every player stepped up and made.

I went with Jordan, though this was the absolute epitome of a team win. JG got my vote because it was probably his best career game, when you combine the tied career high in scoring on 100% shooting, as well as the defensive work he did on Forrest in the second half.

A gritty win and solid play by the 'team'. But I'll go with JGold.

^^^ Goldwire (aside from the 1 really bad turnover) played a great game, and most of all, took a tremendous amount of pressure off of Tre. Really proud of the grit that Hurt played with, especially on the last sequence!
This win was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge for these kids. Great to be a Duke fan.

Go Duke!

I would love to see K take one Goldwire every year. Red Shirt em and always have one or two experienced upper classmen like him on the roster. Easier said than done, but if anyone could do it, it is K.

I wouldn’t Bc it then takes up 4 scholarships on projects. And as many unc fans, who wanted the same thing after seeing sky’s boy big Luke maye, Goldwire is the exception not the rule. For every one like him, many many many others never pan out. It also devalues what Goldwire was able to do with his game, he has worked tremendously hard and has shocked us all. That doesn’t mean every single recruit in his position will pan out. But he is obviously a great story for us.

In theory, a good idea. In reality, very scary. Not every Jordan Goldwire-like prospect becomes Jordan Goldwire. Plus, using 1/3 of our available scholarships on projects seems just a tad aggressive.

Jordan Goldwire is unique. Appreciate him....don’t assume every other kid like him will turn into him. What’s he been able to do is easier than just throwing a scholarship his way.

Ok, maybe not as low ranked as Goldwire but someone between a top 50 150 recruit. Someone who has no NBA expectations who is very school focused, where a red shirt means getting a Duke Master's, not a wasted hoops year.
Someone lower ranked with at least 1 accomplished, specific skill set - D, rebounding, etc.
