Of course it's adequate coming from a unx fan.Four years of negative impact on recruiting and image.
The recruiting should come back fairly quickly. The stain on the "brand" will take longer.
That seems like an adequate penalty.

All due respect, I hardly think we can all "move on."

So just because other students were enrolled in those classes, it doesn't count as a benefit for athletes? Shouldn't the school itself get hammered for this admission of fake credits? I know they were downgraded by some academic authority, but doesn't this warrant more serious penalty?
What is the cutoff here? If I have a single non-athlete in a fake class with 149 athletes, is it not considered an extra benefit? Don't athletes get class registration priority?
So many questions here.
Seriously, let's all take a deep breath. Look at what we have this season and next. LOADED. Let's have some fun, CTC is almost here baby !
At least the NCAA committee admits that their own rules make no sense:All due respect, I hardly think we can all "move on."

Some of us moved on four years ago....so this morning didn't have much impact on our psyches.
Teams still have to hide it from the school somewhat, but yeah, big schools can handle that.I am talking about the NCAA. They are in real trouble w/this ruling as a precedent setter. Academics in big time college athletics just took a huge step backward. The UNC playbook is foolproof now...OFC
Wow, you're really optimistic. I'm trying, but I guess I'm just cynical. It's really getting hard to enjoy college basketball as of late. The one-n-dones, the numerous scandals, and now this: the mother of all scandals yet no punishment. Oh wellBoom! Well said, Show. It's a great time of year....as you said, CTC is a week away, practice has almost two weeks in, the regular season is less than a month away and we have an exciting team for the upcoming season.
This is the voice of reason.Seriously, let's all take a deep breath. Look at what we have this season and next. LOADED. Let's have some fun, CTC is almost here baby !

They might as well make two of those banners look dull, because they are certainly tarnished in the eyes of many. It doesn't change much for us, except we can simply tell them to stfu when they say anything bad about K. Conversation over there.I followed this case pretty close. Not on this board, but through other channels. The consensus among most legal pundits was that there was a gray area here. Few have said UNC didn't cheat. I think all of us know they were....even UNC fans know that. But there were holes. I know Jay Bilas isn't popular here right now, but he's said the same thing for as long as I can remember and he was right, as much as we hate to admit it. It's a red flag they'll be able to wave at us for years to come, but ultimately the joke is still on them. We didn't do anything wrong. They did....they just got away with it. That's what they're proud about today. And good for them. They should be happy.
