being seeing some of the unbalanced schedule debate, so here is my take...when your team wins the regular season it doesn't matter whether you had an easy road or a difficult road,.........but it is obvious that some teams schedules are easier based on that season, the next season, that same schedule could be easier or even more difficult, so essentially it is what it is....but my whine for this season, is that Duke has had 5 ranked road games (currently 2-2 (@fsu, @lou, @ND, @uva, with @UNC coming up)...UNC has had only two (@Duke and @UVA and lost both 0-2)...my opinion

If you think it's rough over there now, it will be pure hell if Duke is able to win Saturday. The meltdown will be one for the ages...and of course the refs robbed them. I'm wanting that W so badly!

I agree dirt' I hope the refs really are horrible in Duke's favor. I hope the whole starting line up fouls out and every foul is a bad call. I don't care. They are convinced that every call that goes against them is horrible so what's the difference between a good call and a bad call. OFC

You aren't kidding, their collective heads would explode. They fully expect to, as is not very common to them in recent memory, beat Duke this Saturday. I have seen several of them say that is maybe being without Grayson and Amile doesn't mean s**t because because they were short handed when Hicks didn't play the first time. Ummm, has anyone else notice how 98% of those fools have been blasting Hicks for a while now talking about how bad he is and his he should be on the bench a lot more? Lolllll. I think they can do it. carolinablue34, butterbutt and others post over here in a pretty civil manner. They are always straight and up front. I do expect one or more of them to explain it. If they don't reply I guess we can assume that they agree with boogie and that's the way it should be because unc is special do not think things are equal . They must have an opinion on it. There certainly is a tremendous amount of dislike for K, and I myself am not his biggest fan either. But there are fans in every sport and league that will use anything they can to discredit their rival even if it makes them hypocritical.

But when it comes to kids and going to the NBA, it's their own decision. It boils down to what they feel is best, and what they want. Some player's stock will never rise higher than it does during a brilliant season. Others prefer to get their degree or enjoy college.

So no, I don't buy the narrative that Roy or K selfishly hold back their players. We're also not behind the scenes when these choices are made. Just my two cents.

You probably won't in all honesty. And even if they did I think you know what kind of answer you'd get.

I hold no love for duke, just as you don't for unc, but at the very least I try to discuss it civilly and attempt to be somewhat objective. It doesn't make anyone less of a fan. Lol, you should have seen me when Berry hit that shot late in the game over Allen.

I guess I'm having a hard time trying to explain my point. I really don't think it's homerism just because to my knowledge no one here has ever posted that hof coach roy williams forces his players to stay and Duke players stay because of the love of Duke. I may be wrong because there's been a whole lot of post from a lot of posters in my 11 years on this board. I kept help but thinking it's the same reason Coach K has won 5 nattys and that's he has a lot of nerve to do that and beat unc on a constant basis. So I think it all has to do with Coach K and the disdain that potion of thr and unc fans has for him so it doesn't matter what happens to recruits whether they are one and done, they stick around 4 years or transfer it's Coach K and his evil ways. As for hof coach roy williams I think it's a positive thing he keeps players around 4 years. I love 4 year players at Duke. What ever makes you successful. OFC

Some of my fellow heels fans have said as much. A lot of that disdain comes from K, not just because he wins, but since Dean left he's had the advantage in head to heads. Which is why I'm curious if the rivalry will stay as intense after he retires.
