Favorite THR Quotes....

The 'Duke/UVA' thread on THR is nice. Archer & DSouth take turns noting all the deficiencies of this Duke team.
We can't pass, handle the ball, rebound, or play defense very well. Evidently all we can do is shoot 3's.

Well, that defense that THR thinks sucks so much, is now #25 in adjusted defense at Kenpom...and UNC is #42. I guess they must really suck on defense then.

Are they talking about that sorry azz Duke defense that held their mighty tarholes to 68 pts? Yea we suck.

They continue to show what fools they are every single day. Hence this thread right here.....lol.

Been a while since I ventured over there, but came up with these:

Keyser: Honestly if the 3 point shot was never invented, Vader would have won about 50 games

Archer: They shoot the three well, but it's hard to go all the way living by the three. Especially when you don't rebound or defend particularly well.

Someone should remind Archer that we outrebounded them.

Got a gem out of their thread bashing DSJ from state, who many are glad they didn't get now bc less we forget Roy doesn't put up with anything from kids like him! Of course they forget themselves that Roy recruited DSJ and pretty much every other OAD in this same class.

Dean for President:
"It would be a great combo IF he bought into the concept of TEAM, but he doesn't. If he were at UNC, he would be bristling because he couldn't dominate the ball- Roy wouldn't put up with it. He'd get his butt chewed, minutes would decrease if he didn't respond, and then the pouting would begin. Locker room problems would ensue.
The kid will be a stud in the NBA. But like Seahawk said, the other kids fumbled a couple beautiful passes because the ball actually being passed to them was the LAST thing they expected from Smith. Abu could be a force inside, but he was standing around because he knew he wasn't getting the rock."

What fools. And they always talk in a way that is as if they know exactly would Roy would do. Haaa. "He'd get his butt chewed, minutes would decrease if he didn't respond, and then the pouting would begin..." The morons have it all figured out. Lol.

A hole Archer responding to botate's post:

"Cancer may be the wrong word IMO. I think he's a ball hog, but that was part of the deal made to bring him in. Gott promised him that he could get as many shots as he wanted. This is why Roy isn't all about 1 and done type players. He's not going to promise PT or shots."

Archer2:
"Agreed on all counts. Tatum is doing the same thing at dook."

Some of the Holes are soooo glad Dennis Smith Jr. didn't end up in Holeville. Phew, they dodged a bullet there!! Loll.

When he was in the 11th grade and told reporters "I don't play behind [anyone]." I hoped like hell that he didn't land on the Hill.

I saw that. Seems he's so selfish according to some thr minds. Where would NCSU be without him. We would have one less loss if he wasn't at NCSU. He's a player. Wish we had him and any fan with good sense wishes their team had him. John Wayne said something like this. "Life's tough. It's even tougher when you are stupid. Some of those thr posters must have some really tough lives. OFC

SeaHawk98 is also "glad" Smith Jr. didn't go to Chapel Hole. LOL. But if he had committed to them they would all have been dancing in the streets about it. They are so obvious. Losing out on the elites just KILLS them. Ha haaa.

"Smith is one player I am glad did not come to UNC. How many times last night did a state player turn the ball over or almost turn the ball over when Smith passed to them because they were not actually expecting him to pass. The kid has talent, no doubt. His ex high school coach just got busted for embezzlement. I am sure there is more to the story there."

I'm confused... After the Hole's loss last week at the hands of the Blue Devils, Isaiah Hicks not playing became the common excuse from the Hole fan base. Heard over and over "no way Carolina loses if Hicks plays", "the offensive flow is disrupted when Hicks isn't playing", "the defense takes a big hit when Hicks isn't playing", etc., etc., etc.

Yesterday, a Luke Maye butt plug was inserted over at THR, and UNC&ME provided this...

"he is playing better basketball than Hicks--as of now he is helping the team more..3 point threat and 3 pt maker..defense and on the court longer since Hicks is fouling then sitting..this confident Luke we need each game esp with Williams gone".

Quick summary: The guy that isn't playing as well as the guy that replaced him, is the reason for the loss.
Hmmmm, I get it... I think!?!?

Come on Gary, it's as easy to figure out as saying "most of the time when I take a good shot it goes in sometimes"

UNC fans saying no one should be kicked out a game because he said you suck to coach.Seem to remember Roy kicking someone out for yelling miss it to one of his players. No double standard at all
Apparently you need help with the meaning of "double standard" and how it is applied. Now if UNC fans thought kicking people out for yelling "miss it" was a good idea and then said someone yelling "you suck" shouldn't be removed, you'd have yourself a double standard. And more accurately, since it was Roy who had the person behind the bench yelling "miss it" removed, the double standard would have only been in play if he was against having a fan removed for yelling "you suck"; which he wasn't against it since he stated otherwise. In essence, Roy is not the fans and the fans are not Roy. So no double standard. Hope this helps.

It's ironic that UNC fans would defend Roy when he kicked a fan out for yelling "miss it" but then complain about a fan being removed for yelling "you suck" at an opposing coach.

Is that one good enough for you or are you going to choose to miss the point entirely and quibble about semantics?

That's pretty much how I feel but there's a word for it. Entitled and they are clueless to it. OFC

Its absolutely a "double standard" when UNC security would allow a heckler hollering vulgarities back in a game, after removing the "miss it Deon" spectator and saying goodbye..... Roy knows so....

I've been posting here for little over a month, and never heard anyone complain about officiating as reason for a loss. Sure there's bad calls in every game but over at THR you'd think refs graduated from UVA. We might complain some about the team but the cuss words slung over there would make a trucker blush

Really do not think that Unc will be charged with a loss tonight because of the referees bias against them.It will fall in the category of a blown win.

I would just refuse to play, if I knew the refs were going to screw us every time! Boycott, or leave 5 reserves in to get trampled by an angry mob.

"Got to be tough for Hicks to figure it out. Especially tonight. He is getting "bodied"up on shots and they are apparently "letting them play" on one end and then calling touch fouls in the paint on the other. I got to hand it to Roy. He is all class. If that guy in derm had been getting or not getting calls like Hicks and the Heels were experiencing tonight he would have been cursing a blue streak and had at least one technical and "Tripper" would have leg whipped someone. Did you see Roy after that last bs call on Hicks? Hicks was upset and I could tell Roy was not happy but he got Hicks off the court without incident and said very little to the refs."
