I always feel like this deserves two categories- religious and non-religious

Religious-
Oh Holy Night- Carrie underwood version

It wasn’t his child- Skip Ewing

Silent Night- Traditional

Go tell it on the mountain- traditional

Beautiful star of Bethlehem

Non-Religious-
Merry Christmas from the Family- Robert Earl Keen

Santa Claus is back in town- Elvis

Holly Jolly Christmas- Burl Ives

Jingle Bell Rock- Bobby Helms

Leroy the redneck reindeer- Joe Diffie

Hard Candy Christmas- Dolly Parton

I could probably keep going.

Carol of the Bells... there have been countless recordings of this song, but one of the earlier versions is my favorite. It's the Roger Wagner Chorale version.

It is a particularly difficult song to sing well, but that version is masterful. It's not very long, a little over a minute. But it's (that version) essentially A cappella, so you can really hear the quality of the singers and how they harmonize.

Just a personal preference. A lot of newer versions are set to musical arrangements that I think are just over the top and obscure the singers and lyrics.

Listen to some of the newer versions, then listen to the Roger Wagner Chorale version. If you do, let me know if you agree.

To continue...

Little Drummer Boy

O Holy Night

Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker, Op, 71, Act II: No. 13, Waltz of the Folwers, 3:47 - 4:19

Religious Go Tell It On The Mountain
Non religious The Christmas Song ( Alvin and the Chipmunks)

I just heard The Pretenders christmas song it sounded like a cat being strangled. I like the Chestnuts roasting song by Nat King Cole.

I work in retail management, so I hear a ton of really awful Christmas music. The worst might be whatever that Blake Shelton/Gwen Stefani's song is. My lord, it is horrible.

My favorites would be:

All of The Killers Christmas songs:

Any Christmas song really .

Religious would have to be O Holy Night.

Where are you Christmas by I think Faith Hill ( from Jim Carey’s the Grinch).

I’ll be home for Christmas by Rascal Flats.

.

Last Xmas - Wham
Do they know its Christmas - BandAid
Silent Night - world war 2 version
White Christmas - Bing ( whoa short message! ...friends reference)
Merry Xmas Everybody - Slade

Love most christmas songs

Santa's Coming to Town--Bruce

I Believe in Father Christmas--Greg Lake

Always have enjoyed Burl Ives "It's A Holly Jolly Christmas." That's my most favorite traditional holiday tune.

Just from a purely fun standpoint, because you can modify it so many ways, "Jingle Bells."

"Jingle Bells, Roy Smells, Devils All The Way."

"Oh What Fun It Is To Ride Cheater Fans Every Day!!!!"
