I was thinking about what states have been friendliest in terms of recruiting to Duke over the years and where we have brought in the most / best talent. Lately we have a Minnesota pipeline going, but there are other states which have fed the Blue Devil well.

So what States do you think have produced the best and most valuable players for the Brotherhood? Justify with Players and Responses.

Some Possibilities (Just off top of head, I am sure I missed plenty)

VA - G. Hill, J. Delaurier, JJ Redick
IL - J. Parker, J. Okafor
MD/DC - J. Dawkins, N. James, T. Thornton, Q. Cook, B. Davis, N. Smith
NY - C. Laettner, E. Brand, G. Koubek, G. Paulus
NJ - B. Hurley, J. Williams, R. McLeod, D. Jones, B. Zoubek, K. Irving, L. Thomas, A. Abdelnaaby
FL - G. Allen, A. Rivers, V. Carey, C. Sanders
AK - T. Langdon, C. Boozer

Chris Collins and Jon Scheyer went to the same HS In Glenbrook, IL outside of Chicago. Also getting Steward out of the same HS as big Jah.

(Illinois) Jahlil, Jabari, Corey Maggette, Scheyer & Sean Dockery might be our best 5 man lineup from any state. .

The Carolinas have given us some good players lately:

Zion, Ingram, Ryan Kelly, Wendell Moore, Patrick Tape’ & the Plumlee’s played High School ball in N.C.

Seth Curry out of CLT, NC right?

Add Randy Denton of Raleigh Enlo to that group. All time career average per game rebounder at Duke at 12.7 rpg. Solid player for us. I got to recognize the forgottenDuke greats . And talking about a banger, he was fully loaded every game. Shav Randolph also OFC

Indiana don’t get to claim the Plummees!
Lol, they grew up in Indiana until Miles was a Senior in HS. I believe the family never actually left Indiana while the boys played prep ball down in NC and then to Duke.
I suppose both states could claim them. I would rarely consider where someone played HS ball at as his home state though. RJ Barrett played prep ball in Florida, but everyone would consider him to be from Canada.
