I figured I'd join in on the threads not having anything to do with Duke basketball while we're in this dreaded down time of the season.

Any big Curb fans out there who are excited for Season 10 that starts up in January like I am? I simply can't wait. In fact, I've been re-watching some episodes on Amazon Prime in preparation. IMO, Larry David is a pure genius and Curb is one of the greatest shows ever.

In case you've missed it, here's the Season 10 trailer...

I have never watched that show.....but based on this trailer, I think I need to!!

I joined the series late myself.

Best thing I ever did. In a manner of speaking.

Season 9 was absolutely masterful.

And the introduction of Leon in Season 6 remains one of the greatest character additions to any show, ever.

In summary, I highly, highly encourage you to start watching it. And it's perfect timing, as you can binge watch the series in anticipation of the new season.

It’s a good show. If you liked Seinfeld you’d like Curb.

It looks funny! Problem is it’s in HBO right? I don’t subscribe to any of the movie channels. I found that I never watched them, so I dropped them. About all I watch outside of sports is murder documentaries like deadly women, joe lends, ETC, and off the grid shows like mountain men and life below zero. I might have to add HBO back in

Do you have Amazon Prime? If you don't, sign up for like their 10-day trial and watch a few episodes to get a little taste of it. You won't be disappointed.

Honestly, HBO is worth it. They've produced so many outstanding shows over the years, you could spend a year or two just watching shows that have previously run.

The drought between season eight and season nine was torture. In fact, I'd kind of resigned myself into thinking Larry was just done and it wasn't happening again. So glad he made the decision to continue. I do, however, have a hunch that this next season will be his last. Hope like hell I'm wrong, though.

I really enjoyed season seven and the Seinfeld reunion. But truthfully, there's something great about all of them. It would be impossible for me to pick a best or favorite. I've probably seen every episode a minimum of five times and I still laugh my ass off. My wife says it's because I'm pretty much neurotic just like Larry David. Most of his stuff really hits home with me. Not sure if that's good or not.

I showed my wife the trailer. She said “oh my god, that’s you 10 years from now”......is that good or bad?

I have to admit, Curb is my favorite comedy of all time.

That said, it got REALLY weak in the last few seasons. I literally didn't even bother to finish the last one. It just felt SO forced.

I thought one of the strongest seasons was the one where Larry was in The Producers. Schwimmer and Stiller were fantastic, as was the blind piano player. And I cannot imagine the show without Funkhauser.

I can get on board with the last season not being as good, but I thought season eight was very well done. I'd also agree about the season with the The Producers....I believe it was season four.

Going to be hard without Marty this next season. I wonder if in some way they're going to pay homage to him? He's been such an integral part of the show, they almost have to acknowledge his death somehow. I'll never forget the joke he told Jerry in season seven at the Seinfeld table-reading. Might be the best joke I've ever heard.

You guys weren't crazy about Season 9? I thought it was really good, especially the first half. The Rushdie episode... seen it probably half a dozen times at it still slays me.

The Seinfeld reunion season was great, I gotta admit.

Can't remember which season but The Palestinian chicken episode was an all-time classic.

I think it maybe had something to do with the anticipation of season nine after sitting the sidelines for so many years. And for the record, I didn't think season nine was bad....I just didn't think it was as good as the previous two.

And the Palestinian Chicken episode is an all-time classic. The best scene in that episode is when Larry's being intimate with the ant-Semite Palestinian. I won't post the transcript since this is supposed to be family-friendly.

Ultimately, Curb at its best is still about as good as it gets for me as far as television goes.

And you never know in any given episode when something is said or done that will have you laughing so hard you have to catch your breath.

So looking forward to the new episodes and the subsequent water cooler discussions.
