Chris beard..

So the fiancé denies he strangled her and he was defending himself after she started the altercation breaking his glasses assumingly on his face. What am I missing here? Women can be completely nuts man. I hope they didn’t fire him because of outside pressure and did a thorough investigation and actually found solid evidence he was wrong.

The University of Texas never interviewed Beard or the fiancé about the ordeal

We will never know what really happened but let's just say that there have been quite a few times that women have put me in very bad situations, so I don't really feel like throwing any stones at him when I wasn't a witness.

If that’s true that’s amateurish and Beard and the players deserve better If she wants to stay and declines to press charges then it’s pretty much virtue signaling at this pt

His contract clearly stated that being charged with a felony (not necessarily convicted, but just charged) was grounds for termination. This situation at the very least brought embarrassment to UT, and at worst he may have really physically assaulted her. It’s well know back to his Texas Tech days that his fiancé is crazy as a shit house rat, but that doesn’t justify him putting his hands on her in anger—and it’s an indictment in itself that he kept her around. UT was left with no choice but to move on.

Can you imagine this happening to Jon? To Coach K? It's just a horrible look for the school. I think Texas had to do it. Beard will probably sue and get a settlement.
