AP Top 25

It is a big drop, but I get it. Do any of the teams in front of Duke have a worse loss?

It will all take care of itself. Duke has a chance for two big-time, resume boosting wins this week.

Michigan's jump from unranked to #4 shows that this is an art, not a science and there are too many unknowns this early in the season. The ranking is irrelevant until you start to play in conference. Then the true ability of a team is exposed.

Didn’t UK drop to 12 when they lost to Evansville as #1?

Honestly, I thought we would drop further. Not only did we lose to Stephen F Austin, but we looked pretty shaky against Winthrop.
They dropped to #9 after they lost to Evansville.

Yeah, that’s one of the thing that bothers me in this poll. No way should they have went to #4, and UVA, who struggles to put up 50 against well, everybody, and UK should in no way be above us.

To be honest I don't have a problem with it. We lost to Stephen F. Austin for Pete's sake. It wasn't like we lost to Wofford. Maybe this will light a fire under the team and bust up MSU. OFC

I actually think they have a better program than Wofford. In the past six seasons, Wofford has been to the NCAAs 3 times with 1 tournament win. SFA has been to the dance 4 times in the last 6 seasons, with 2 NCAA tournament wins, and they nearly took down Notre Dame in the round of 32 in 2016.

Actually, I don't mind the ranking, and given the loss @ home, plus the way we played the last game, there really should be no complaints.
These kids have too much pressure on them right now, and with the loss of Stanley, it has made it worse.
Personally, I wouldn't mind Duke being in the background for awhile (back off Media, go feed off someone else). I want the Media and the rest of CBB to concentrate on all the "hot" teams for a while.
Let's watch these young kids go to work without all the pressure for a change, get healthy, and watch them make a late season run!
If these things happen, I, for one, like their chances!

Go Duke!

I cannot agree more JCC.

I would not mind seeing this team play hard but struggle a little bit now. Let them grow, mature and gel as a team as the ACC season wears on. I would love to see them healthy and playing their best basketball of the year with UNC coming to town in early March, poised for a strong ACC tourney and final four run into April.

And why should Duke be ranked above Kentucky? You have a more recent bad loss. In addition, SFA was ranked considerably below Evansville at the time each of us played according to Kenpom.

Our best win is better than yours KU>MSU, and we may just get MSU tonight as well, and simply because you guys have not looked very good outside of that first game.

Wait, wait my man lol, it kind of is like we lost to Wofford lol. I mean, a “solid” low major is still that, a solid LOW major.

Program wise, I’d actually probably argue they’re similarly respected.
