Ditto, i enjoyed this game more than 2010 in which i didn’t enjoy a second of being there.
I was in a whole Wisconsin section. They gave me so much crap the whole game pretty much. They talked crap about Grayson the whole first half. Called him “water boy” lol then didn’t say much when he and Tyus went off in the second half. I swear when we knew the game was in hand me and my cousin hugged the other 2 Duke fans around us and looked around and all of the dumb Wisconsin fans were gone. It was the best.
I had a very similar experience. That stadium had to be 90% Wisconsin fans, plus all the neutral fans were definitely not rooting for Duke.
That Tyus dagger 3 was amazing. My brother and I went crazy. The best part was right when the buzzer sounded, we got down right on the floor to watch the nets being cut. We ended up being super close to Marshall Plumlee for a bit and I'll never forget the smile on his face, he couldn't stop smiling.
The whole place hated Duke! Then as we were leaving it was a sea of Blue! Everybody was hugging everybody, it was just incredible. Walk down the concourse at Lucas Oil and her hugs from random people.
I watched it at a bar with 2 buddies. When Duke was down 9 I started telling myself Duke had a good year and reaching the championship was okay. A comeback seemed unlikely at that point with our guys in foul trouble. But Grayson and Tyus stepped up, and Wisconsin seemed to tighten up down the stretch.
