Big Mark Williams will start at the 5

It was just a quick game, but that kid wants to play close to the rim. Tape has experience, but I can't see Mark not starting at the 5.

    Patrick Tape

I just saw the practice on YouTube. He looks good running the floor.

Henry Coleman is the perfect small ball center option

I know this is 2020, but if Henry can provide the same production as Lonnie then Duke will be just fine. It's not so much being undersized as much as how you use your size.

Prediction: Marques Bolden vs Mark Williams?

Golden was lazy with a few mild injuries. He didn't play with a second gear or attitude. If Williams is healthy, aggressive defensively and can finish at the rim...then it's time to recruit another BIG.

Henry Coleman is the perfect small ball center option

Lonnie Baxter...??? We should be good.

Henry Coleman is the perfect small ball center option

Semi needed that redshirt year. Whether it was at Duke or SMU, that year to redshirt matured his game.

Henry Coleman is the perfect small ball center option

Sheldon was a natural c/pf that understood his role in the paint. He never tried to do anything other than control the painted area. Does Henry want to step out and shoot the 3pt? Is he comfortable playing near the basket only?

ESPN's Top 10 players in NBA history

Timmy established his place in history in 1999...Best Scorer and Best Rebounder against Shaq and a maturing Mamba. When Timmy showed up in SA, he was the PF. He just needed a Center for weakside help, D, and making sure Timmy isn't the Big on the floor. Timmy could never play a length of...

ESPN's Top 10 players in NBA history

The point about Ellis is playing alongside a person who needs to touch the ball as much as he does. What makes Klay special is his defense and being 6'7 to rebound when needed in this era. If Curry continued to play with Monte, I don't know if we are having this conversation about him being...

ESPN's Top 10 players in NBA history

My only push back with Steph Curry, could he give the league the same production with hand - checking? That's not devaluing his talent and skill, I just remember a Curry playing alongside with Monte Ellis for 3 years and the production wasn't the same nor were the rules. Reggie Miller is a...

ESPN's Top 10 players in NBA history

To be honest I have a difficult time saying LeBron better than Mamba. 9 Finals...3 Rings???? Three teams???? I get it, his story is still being written.

ESPN's Top 10 players in NBA history

That's another good point. What did Captain look like 75 - 79? Who was on his team? We know with Magic he got 5 SHIPS, with Oscar two Finals and a SHIP. Sometimes the great of a player is what takes place when they don't have a stack team, but maintain a high level of Play.

ESPN's Top 10 players in NBA history

We put too much emphasis in 'recent popularity' and not the total body of work. That being said, Shaq was invisible 1992 - 1999. Then for three years he won a SHIP. After that...disappears. You would argue that Miami Ship, look at the roster. STACK! Wilt and Captain far better than Shaq!

Chase Jeter selling his Duke uniforms and memorabilia

I believe the kid was a 5 star based on the competition he played and politics behind the schools who offered. If Chase would've redshirt at Duke, his body would've transformed and his patience develop. Marshall is a great example of just that. Instead he wasted his Freshmen year and later...

    G-League

Taking 200k - 500k is good money, but be clear these kids are being isolated from the grown men. And, if that 'potential' is subpar, then please save that 500k, because you may never see it again.

    G-League

The movement that may slow up the exodus of players is now you open the borders for more foreign players. There are 15 slots on 30 teams in the G - League. There will be plenty of competition and a hesitation to jump in the minor leagues. Marketing and TV exposure will predetermine a whole lot.
